Looking for a unicorn phone mount. Any suggestions?

I used a Scoshe magnet mount, stick to the dash with 3m tape. I've used them before. It comes with a metal piece you can stick to your phone or phone case. I put it inside my case.

Works decent, probably won't hold the phone over rough terrain, I have several of these I could always add.

They work well to secure the phone to holders.
Here's where I put it, did trim base to fit better.

Blocks a tiny bit of the screen but not bad. I've adjusted the vent so it blows onto the steering wheel and isn't an issue heating the phone up.
It a cheap alternative/trial run at $10 to $15. Now that I know I like the spot, I might upgrade to the OffRoam setup someday.

I skipped the 5 pages, but here's my solution to The Unicorn Problem, as you say. Pro clip with quad lock, was my solution. I posted this on another thread a few months ago... could be searched up if we had the care.

With wireless charging to boot.

I finally received the parts mention in my earlier ProClip post. For my JTR I only bought the vehicle mount and reused my iPhone mount from my JKU. I liked that I can add other devices, like in my JKU I had my CB mic mount.

Might have something there. I have the one that requires no drilling, no adhesive. It goes under the pad in the dashboard bin and screws in to an existing screw. It does use a magnet to hold the phone but I think it came with the metal pads you can put on any phone or case.
I've had it for 9 or 10 months and have had no problems with it.

I didn't give up. After a good bit of playing with different options I ended up installing this just now. Haven't tried it in action and can't take a pic of my phone in it with my phone but is looking like what I wanted. Will add a photo of the phone in it when someone else gets home.
