Maybe I’m just a complete idiot but has anyone else experienced a loud clunk when shifting from P to D when on an incline/decline? I know it’s the weight of the vehicle applying pressure on the transmission but how is it solved? I must’ve missed that lecture that day.

You can either turn on the Auto Parking Brake feature in your settings or manually engage the emergency brake before taking your foot off the break pedal if parking on an incline/decline. Then upon startup there will be no pressure from gravity on the transmission because the brakes will have held the vehicle in the exact same position.

Mine sounds like an explosion in the gearbox.

Ive found the only way to fix it is to crank the e-brake when parking on a hill.
