Holy nerdum, plotting fuel usage . . . . . .no offense of course.

I'm happy when I hit 16 MPG, stock JTR. But I hammer it the rare chance I get to drive it. 16k since April 2021. I could of bought a Prius to save fuel but then I would have to kick my own ass for doing that, so I went with a Gladiator.

I didnt buy it for mpg ,I bought mine to go anywhere.
Its a jeep not a pinto or vega .
Yep - you have to want a Jeep. If you slam the suspension, put the bumper on with the wings that enclose the wheel well, put small high mileage tires on it and drive the speed limit you might see the EPA numbers. Auto makers put a ton of research and development into aerodynamics, the Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator division doesn't have to spend much time on it!

I wouldn't even bother with the gas mileage cause it will be all over the place depending on many factors. And seems like many Gladiator owners got special engines that regardless what they do it still gets 21 MPG (LOL). Right now with Winter I am averaging 16 city and summer around 18 maybe. Freeway right now I am getting around 17.5 and summer I will get about 19. Rarely do I see in the 20's unless I drive 55 MPH non windy conditions. I've got 33"s on it and winch up front so certain that has not helped mileage. When I am done with the Wildpeaks I may look at some different tires that might offer a bit better mileage or at least quieter

You get it or you don’t. Aerodynamic properties of a brick, plus I added beefier wheels (AEV), bigger tires (315/70’s), a matching spare, a camper shell (Alu-Cab), and ~50lbs of assorted gear and tools. My miles are 90%+ local/around town. It’s no wonder that I’m currently averaging 14.8 MPG (JTR).

I’m only getting city 14.9 and highway 15.5. The advertised MPG is higher and I read about others on this forum getting higher as well.

I have about 4000 miles on my 22 Willys. No exterior, drivetrain or computer mods. Came with 32” Nittos. I try to be easy off the line.

Does anyone know possible causes? And is there any recourse with Jeep to get back into the MPG ballpark?
I get, on average 15 to 16 mpg. Normal day to day driving. Last year i took a 18 day 18 state 6000 mile trip. My gas millage went from 14 mpg to 25 mpg. The millage changed from state to state and all depended on the driving conditions. Wa, Id, and Utah were not that good. The rolling hills of Kentucky and Tennessee were nice running around 20 mpg. The best millage was through the Texas pan handle and Salt Lake City. Texas is was getting about 22 mpg and for a 100 mile stretch through Salt lake city i got 25. All Freeway driving. If you are doing city driving and have a lot of hills, and you want good gas millage than this is not the car for you.

Wow !! I guess I’m lucky with my overland I guess ? Now with 3000 miles on the clock I get 20-21 around town right now and have seen 26 on highway last fall with summer gas. That being said I am at higher elevation around 4500 feet and up and have stock all weather tires. All this is going by the speedo mpg, never did it on paper so who knows ? My old dodge Dakota use to say I was getting a couple mpg better with the gauge then when calculating my self ?
Our Overland running stock tires with 37 ps with 1,500 miles. Live in a hilly area and coast down hill most of the time. Just did a trip to Greenville SC and got about 27.5 mpg on the way there and 26.7 mpg on the way back. Around town getting consistently around 22mpg. Of course I drive like I'm in no hurry and you can't expect great fuel mileage with a four wheel refrigerator going down the road.

'22 Gladiator ... stock .... only add-ons are side steps and hard tonneau cover.
City average is around 16 mpg.
Highway average is around 22.
On a long trip (R.I. to Fl.) I got 27.4 mpg.
Manual transmission.
Once your rpm's go over 2k, your mileage will seriously degrade.
BTW .... I have highway tires, not all terrain.

Just returned from a trip to Pharr Tx., averaged anywhere from 15.2 - 17.7 MPG. This was with two peeps and a little bit of cargo running 80 mph on the Highway. Better than I expected and only added one additional stop for gas since the Gladiator only has a 22 gal gas tank.
