F status today.

Framing started yesterday morning around the same time my wife left Dneprodzerzhinsk on a train headed to Kiev airport.

She just landed in LAX and the JT is already built and painted!

Thanks for the good words everyone. Love the manual. It took a little getting use to, I haven't had a manual in over 15 years. I've got almost 1000 miles on it already and I'm back into stick mode to the point that when I get in my wife's Renegade I'm pushing a phantom clutch and reaching for a stick to up shift and down shift. :jk:

Now that some of you are getting your manual Gladiators, has anyone tried towing something like a camper trailer? I'd be curious what your real world impressions are if you have. I don't tow often but when I do I'll be flirting with that 4000 lb limit with the manual (though admittedly on mostly very flat terrain).

I second this question. I'm on the fence really between mt and auto. Some towing pics would keep my head above water and keep that low towing lump in my throat go down

My rubi made it to Winston-Salem, NC by train, pretty much on schedule as best I can tell. Now I wait for the last leg of its journey to be put on a truck to go three hours east to my town. Preparing myself mentally for another two weeks but I know at this stage my dealer could call me any day to tell me it has arrived. Next Monday will be 12 weeks.

Hey @Rex3rd I hate to say it but if you plan to tow anything with any kind of substantial weight to it then you really should get an automatic transmission. In general sticks just don’t pull much weight at all. I will get a stick as I only plan to tow a small kayak trailer.

Awesome thanks! Also, dealer told me my estimated ship date is for 8/17. That seems a bit fast doesn't it?
