I’m on day 4 of owning mine. My previous comments on 1st and 2nd being low and tricky to shift between were certainly operator error. I’m already getting much smoother at the lower gears. It tends to like to shift at a little higher rpm than I was used to with my TJ. Drove in town today (which requires quite a bit of shifting at lower gears) and it’s becoming second nature. Fairly short learning curve. Overall, I love the MT and am very happy I went with it. The shift knob is large and where it is positioned in relation to the center armrest I’m finding myself palming the top of the shift knob rather than actually grabbing it, and I am finding it to be comfortable and requiring very little effort. Not to mention it has short throws.

I’m riding with the doors off and soft top back and rowing gears, and I’m telling all you guys still waiting to hang in there. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! Already had people stopping me, crowding around it, wanting to ask about it, complimenting it. Very cool experience, and it’s coming to you too, soon. Positive Jeep vibes brothers!

i see that, so from what we have come to here is there is only 1 black M/T out in the wild
Mine’s a black M/T but it’s a Sport S, not a Rubicon. I hate following your saga ... can’t wait to follow your adventures once you get it.

That ship has sailed. Between the wait and the treatment I very directly asked for my deposit back tonight. Time to move on.

Action or compensation might convince me otherwise, but I don't expect that will happen.

Dealer is closed, I'll know in the AM.

Well its been 11 weeks today... Sigh this thread is so bitter sweet. Seeing the ones with their beauts already is sweet and helps the wait, then I see everyone else. Don't have chat or even "jeff" up here in Canada so just the dealer. yay for no real support in Canada. On the plus side the dealer said it was in the "final stages of production" yesterday. I am guessing "d" status.

Just spoke with Jacob on Jeep chat. My Sport S (soft top, cold weather, Alpine, bed liner and cover, Granite Crystal metallic) is supposedly being built right now and will be ready to ship within days. I ordered 6/24 and that seems to be fitting in with the similar builds I see on here, so hopefully that timeline is realistic!

The weird thing is he said he couldn't give me a status code -
Jacob
Our records show that your vehicle is moving through the build process and should be ready for shipping in the next day or so.

Great! What status code is it at now?

Jacob
Actually, status codes besides D1 and KZ are for internal purposes only. Your truck is not either of these stages.

Bullshit. Jeep Chat ‘Randy’ told me in was in JB status last Wednesday. I check Jeep chat about once every 2 weeks. It keeps my blood pressure down

Canada needs jeep chat, I need to self medicate to keep my blood pressure down.

I don't know who to believe anymore - someone said on here the other day "trust no-one".....haha! Like I said, I asked my dealer Thursday to start looking around for an LE and thinking about canceling the order.....today they got back to me.....sounds like they are making some moves

"heard back from our Chrysler rep later yesterday and he said your Gladiator is in the shipping yard and he was going to make some calls to see what the hold up is and see if he can “hot tag” it (aka get it shipped ASAP to us).

I will let you know when we hear back from him on that but good news is it’s built. Not sure why my system is still showing it’s at the body vendor."

keep ya'll updated.

Had a not so pleasant conversation with my dealer today, well after the promised morning call. I'm pretty sure we're clear where I stand.

After much disagreement, offered to see what could be done and get back to me Monday. I'll go along with it to see what's discovered or offered, although at this point I'm just miserable about the whole thing and just want it to be over.

I just can't get past the indifferent attitudes and incomprehensible build priority. I was ok until late availability colors started getting built, and even received. I ordered an early color to get one sooner. Great plan, huh?

Then when I see that happening and question it, I get no answers despite repeated and increased efforts. I can't stomach the you'll wait indefinitely and like it attitudes, and that's all I got.

It's my fault really. I was just too excited to get one. I work a ton and sacrifice a lot to be able to afford a nice vehicle, and this was also hobby and lifestyle. I was really looking forward to this Jeep. Too much.

I wish better luck to all of you. Or at least better ability to bear inequity than I possess.
