I've driven through IL quite a bit on my way to other places.

Sorry, not according to my Jeep!

Arrow point up - that's the white stuff.
Arrow pointing down - that's what my JT says the outside temp is - after a high of 101 today.
I was a bit confused. Temps in the upper 90s to over 100 and not a lick of snow melt.

The REAL outside temperature? 8 degrees when we left, 10 when we returned. It just hit 14 here.
You should turn down the thermostat in your garage.

Ironically it said 56 in the garage, then as we drove north, it got warmer.
I wish there was heat in my garage! It ain't even insulated, let alone heated. Thank goodness for heated seats.

I have driven through Iowa.. I recall the stench of the mega hog farms.
That's money on the hoof. Where do you think bacon comes from. Unicorns?

Did a on site road job in northern Mn when I worked for Elliott. Got sent up there the end of January. The crew from the East Chicago shop didn't have enough people for the job. So I got volunteered. Was staying at a motor lodge. I was on the first floor with my work truck parked in front of the door. One night, some asshole went around and unplugged everyone's block heaters. The temp was like -20F at night. That pissed everyone off. Never did find out who did it.

Had a skinny guy on the crew, Phil. Your typical getto guy you see on TV. Funny as shit. After work. We normally come back to the motor lodge and clean up, then go to dinner as a group. The one day. Phil says that he's chilled to the bone. That he's going to take a hot shower and stay in to get warm......Ok we all go out to dinner without Phil. The next morning, we are waiting for Phil to show up so that we can go to work. Someone noticed Phil in the window of his room, beating on it. We go up to Phil's room and the door is frozen shut. There is about a 2" thick layer of ice around the door jam. We had to use a hammer and chisel plus a crow bar to get the door open. Found out from Phil. He took his shower. When he was done. He left the hot water running. Figured that it would help heat up his room. When we opened the door. It was like a sauna in there.
