Max Tow Package Unofficial Model Name

Many of us refer to the Max Tow Gladiator just like other models (ie Rubicon) but we didn't get a name.

This is despite the Max Tow not being a simple option. You can't get a Rubicon or Overland Max Tow!

So let's come together and name it like Jeep should have!

My initial thoughts were these:

Myrmillo - type of gladiator that needed to be a bigger frame or larger muscled gladiator due to carrying heavier gear into battle

Carpophorus - name of a specific gladiator that was known for his renown in fighting and slaying beasts ( this can be a nod to other brands' offerings being named after animals/beasts)

Or we can keep with the naming convention of other models in Jeeps lineup and name it after trails or locations. Older western American trade routes or Overland trails.

The California


Lets hear your ideas. Once we've had a ton of input I'll follow up with a voting post.

Feel free to include your opinion as well if you just prefer "max tow".

It already has a model name, it is the Sport. When the 24S option package is added, it is referred to as a Sport S. When the MaxTow package is added, it is referred to as a MaxTow, even if it also has the 24S package. It is still just a Sport, and those options are only available on that model. You're trying to create a new model name to describe a specific option package that is only available on one model. This just takes away the distinction the MaxTow owners have over the others. Unless it's now referred to as the MaxTow model, why would they want a name change?

Max tow (max tow)
Parens required.

Max tow does not have the highest payload capacity.

Ah, but payload is only down 50lbs not a huge difference whereas the lowest is like 600 under peak.

There's a chart someone provided a few posts back. The MaxTow has the highest Towing capacity, second highest Payload capacity.

To differentiate it from JTM or JTMT.

The trim levels dictate the name, not the options.
