I'm honestly surprised so many people want it for snow. I'm glad I ordered last year. Trac-Lok, sometimes affectionately known as "Trash-Lok", is terrible for icy, slippery roads. It tends to swing the rear end out, rather than pushing it forward.

It may possibly help for deeper snow, but for 99% of winter road conditions most people I know including myself strongly dislike it.

Would I pay $200 for a differential that's going to need clutch pack replacements every 60k miles, requires friction modifier in the proper amounts to function, and causes the rear end of my truck to walk out from under me in the snow and ice? Eh... probably not.

Would I have accepted a $200 credit from FCA to take the option? I guess so.

Bottom line, I ain't mad about it.
Well said 👏
