I currently have 37” A/T’s on a sport s, and while yes it’s doable, it is NOT ideal for most situations (both highway & off road). I’m looking to drop down to 35” KM3 M/T’s for a better experience, but I got a couple questions for you guys:

-Anyone with 3.73’s swap from 37’s to 35’s, or vice versa, and had a noticeable difference in drivability? I know gearing wise it makes sense, but is it that noticeable to warrant the change?

-What’s the biggest lift you guys are running with 35’s? I have a total lift of 3.5” front / 2.75” rear. Also have Rubicon fender flares in the front (haven’t found rears yet) so that does make a difference. I just want to get an idea if I’m gonna have to drop the lift some to have the tires look proportionate with 35’s. I attached a few pics of the current setup (top most recent).

I just went from 35's to 37's on mine. I got Rubicon take off front springs and 2.5" ReadyLift installed which gave me about 3-1/4 inches in the front and I got the 2 inch pucks in the rear. I'd say with your Rubcion fenders I wouldn't go over 2.5" on 35's. After I added the Rubcion springs to mine I started thinking I was seeing to much fender gap on it and start wanting 37's which I now have. I have 4.10 gears on mine so drivability wise it does great on 37's, I'm averaging 17.3 to 17.4 mpgs right now and I was getting right at 19 on 35's. On 3.73 gears I can imagine not would be a lot worse.

Maybe you don't want to go this route but you could put the Sport fenders back on to close some of the gap if you dont like the way it looks with 35s. That would be the simplest solution

You could probably shed 20lbs a corner and stick with 37" if you went with something like Venomrex's 602 in 17x9 and Open Country AT3 which are aggressive looking yet lighter than just about any 35" mud tire. You'd be dropping some boat anchors (your wheels) for other boat anchors (35" mud tires). Keeping those wheels while going with a 35" MT will yield little difference.

Dropping 80+ lbs. of total rotating mass would be transformational. I'd do that way before dialing down suspension.
