some of you have never actually owned and had to live with a single cab truck every day and it shows.

looks awesome, but you dont see a lot of true single cabs for a reason.
Yep ... not remotely interested in a standard cab

I have great memories of my previous truck, which was a single cab, but I also have many memories of not having the space I needed inside.

Extra cabs and 4-doors really are best for all applications.

It does look cool though.

I bet the rear window doesn't leak.....

I still wanted an extended cab option. Shame, but this is nice. I've had single cab trucks in the past, and now my old Ford is a single cab. I like them a lot and it keeps you from keeping a lot of 'junk' in your vehicle.

Single cabs are great for their original intended purpose: a basic work vehicle with a protected cab for one or two people, used to haul stuff. Their design emphasis was to have as large of a cargo bed as possible for the vehicle size to maximize payload carrying; think of them as a motorized hay wagon and you'll be close to the conceived use. They were never meant to be a family vehicle nor something to be fast or luxurious.

IMO trying to turn a basic work truck into something fast or luxurious is putting lipstick on a pig. Similarly, complaining about how poorly a tool works for a purpose it wasn't made for is ridiculous.

I've had 'em.
It sure is nice to have an 8 ft. bed without the truck being over 20 ft. long!

I loved my regular cab 8ft bed Power Wagon. Wish I still had that truck.

The funny thing is that my Wrangler is a 2-Door and would have it no other way, but my Gladiator has to be 4 doors

While the shorter wheelbase is enticing, I also really like the back of the cab for storage of things.

Unless AEV brought back the Brute. I really wish they would....

Jeff has a nice concept too for a TJ with his CJ conversion kit. I dont think it ever got picked up into production though.

But man I would start cutting on my TJ tomorrow if I knew the Brute kit was still available. A person could easily add some heated seats - maybe a steering wheel even, sat radio, and have most of the comforts of the current JT, a little less refined of course. I really do think this is the best overall get out for a weekend vehicle.

An extended cab would be more acceptable for daily use. But no inside storage is a show stopper more many. Me for one.

a nice truck, but still fair about of room behind the seat in that one.
There was a foot behind the seats. Kept a lot of junk back there.

I would probably trade for an extended cab gladiator.
