What shocks did everyone go with? I am looking at the MC and dont want the Rocksports again.

Hi, Ace - I am starting out with the RockSports, primarily due them being low cost and they are supposed to be valved/tuned to go with the GC dual rate springs. I'm not expecting miracles.. later on when I have the money I'll definitely be upgrading. Would love some King or maybe Bilsteins. I know some have mated the GC w/ the Fox 2.5's, or the Falcon SP2 3.3's and have been super pleased. I'd LUV to have a set of the Bilstein B8 8100's shown at 2019 SEMA (not out for the JT yet, but are also gonna be crazy expensive). Good luck with your choice. What shocks did everyone go with? Did you get this figured out? After a few months of install I am definitely getting a drift(not hard enough to consider it a pull) to the right. Dont think it is road crown either....Yea...I'm not thrilled. In the shop right now trying to figure it out before heading to Wyoming for 2+ weeks camping.
What’s the fully extended length of your rear shocks? Could that be the limiting factor?I was able to get my ride up on a rti ramp the other day. What surprised me is that when I got to my stoping point is that my rear driver tire was lifting off but I still had more room to go on the front. I got a score of 702... but now thinking of how I can get more articulation without loosing my rear swaybar and not buying the anti rock swaybar kit???
thats great question... everything I read is that they extend to 30” but they could be the limiting factor. I just emailed teraflex so I will see. What’s the fully extended length of your rear shocks? Could that be the limiting factor?
no, I don’t think it did. I did loose some of my rake but I still have it due to my winch and bumper setup. For those of you running the 3.5 gamechanger lift, does it lift the front and the rear equally? Is it 3.5" for both the front and rear? Thank you.
Hey, according to Eric at MC, the 3.5 GC coils for the JT will lift the front 3 1/2 in and the rear 1 1/2 in with the lift being for a pickup truck, vs. a JLU.no, I don’t think it did. I did loose some of my rake but I still have it due to my winch and bumper setup.
the springs are like 3.5” front and 2.5” rear???? I think???... you might have to call MC directly, the guys there are really good on their information.

So I got a reply from teraflex... I got the longest shocks they make for the JT in which the rears are 32.3” extended... idk maybe they are limiting my flex... I’ll have to try the ramp again after taking out the shockthats great question... everything I read is that they extend to 30” but they could be the limiting factor. I believe the inexpensive Rocksport shocks MC offers allow for more flex than the falcons, even better are the 6 pack shocks they sell to maximize their flex (pricey option). So I got a reply from teraflex... You are right that the 6packs are great flex shocks... I’ve had the rocksports before and yes they allow more flex... but in my opinion... they are a very basic mono shock. I wanted a Reservoir shock with adjustability. MC does not offer this type of shock and that’s why I went with the falcons.I believe the inexpensive Rocksport shocks MC offers allow for more flex than the falcons, even better are the 6 pack shocks they sell to maximize their flex (pricey option).
