I just picked a 2023 Mojave and I'm trying to find a 12v source very close to the mirror for my Valentine 1 Gen2.
I'm looking at the actual mirror and I don't see a electrical connector on the back side. Has anyone accessed the 2023 style mirror for a 12v tap, Any tips on gaining access. The mirror is a dimming model so, it has to have some electrical.
This vehicle is completely different from the Tacoma I drove for 4.5 years.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the new purchase!

If you have the aux switches, there is a 12v key on and always on wire in the bundle under the glove compartment. It's pretty easy to remove the trim along the A pillar and route the wire down that way. That's what I did for my dash cam.

arskemp,
don't have the aux switches I did look into installing but the cost is not something I can afford today, they are crazy proud of that stuff.
I will look in the area you mentioned and that might be the route I take. Might just start pulling the panel around the mirror stem to see if wiring is going down the stem. Thanks

Inside mirror has a switched 12Vdc going to it. it also splices off and goes to the Inverter.

When I did my dash cam, I just tapped off the back side of the center dash 12Vdc port and ran it under the dash and up the inside of the A pillar trim. Was not that hard to do.

I added a USB for a wireless charger/mount to my dash and that's what I did too. they make a plug and play adapter that goes on the back of the cigarette lighter/plug. The tap harness is like $15-$20 on Amazon.

Same here, used the T-Split adapter.
