Mojave 2" Spacer kit options.

I have been researching the AEV 2" Mojave kit. I like most everything about it but the cost. Well, not really the cost so much as I have no need for the tuner. I have an OBD Tuner app that I use on my JK and don't really need the AEV tuner. I could buy it and sell it but I could also put together all the other components from other manufacturers and I could source the geometry correction brackets elsewhere.

I have found that I could get most of the same functional components from Terra Flex, bump stops, shock extensions, longer sway bars and of course the spacers. I also found a source for the driveshaft carrier bearing extension by Rockjock.

Has anyone else went this route?

I think I could come in at a much lower price and have same or better quality components.

What have missed?

I purchased my AEV 2" spacer from Predator 4 Wheel Drive in Colorado Springs and they deleted the ProCal from the order since I was buying a TazerMini. I have gone about 70k since the install and I love it.

The OP is just referring to the ProCal Snap device that AEV packages with their lifts to change the tire height in the computer. The 'tuner'.

When it comes to a spacer lift I don't see any issue with mixing and matching parts.

When it comes to full lift kits (springs, shocks, control arms and track bars), I prefer to get as much as possible from one manufacturer. Makes support after the sale a bit more streamlined.

Just me, though.

Initaly I didn’t think I could bet the cost, maybe I should look again??

Not sure but maybe they are not selling enough of their Pro Cals without making it part of their lift kits?

I looked at the Teraflex shock extensions and they looked pretty well made. I thought that the Rockjock driveshaft bearing spacer looked pretty much like the one in the AEV kit. The rear bump stops in the AEV kit looks pretty good but I could probably make one at work out of black HDPE that would do the job too. Just need some swaybar links and some geometry correction brackets.

I have JKS geometry correction brackets on my JK and they are really well made. They probably are in the same price range too.
