That review was for 2020, the 2021 gladies are out Mojave doesn’t get the diesel, I have a 2021, frame is beefed up, higher hood which is steel not aluminum, and heavier frame, Mojave would be a great fit for the first V-8 Glady, to go after the Ford Raptor! Rumours, rumours, have to start somewhere!.....Jack

Diesel mojave would have required re springing and re damping all 4 corners.

jeep likely figured not enough demand for that spec to justify the r&d costs and testing costs and certification costs.

Doubt it. They already did the tweaks for the heavier engine on all the other models, plus the Mopar 2” lift. Spring rates are easy AF to calculate the delta, and Fox can dial in damping in a heartbeat. But mostly I’m selfishly hopeful...

im not trying to sound like a dick, but it isnt easy af.

they have to design the concept, contract fox to develop the new suspension
put the test model through internal testing
submit it to dot for testing and approval
submit it to nhsta for testing and approval
develop all of the testing and approval for other markets

each of those steps is a massive undertaking individually. And im skipping a bunch. Its not just “hey increase the spring rate in the front and toss that shim over there in the front shock and take it to the dealer lot.“. When a manufacturer makes a chassis change or engine change a whole host of testing and government approvals goes with it. Its expensive and time consuming, and it probably isnt worth for as small a sale number as a diesel mojave would be.

Youre more likely to see it in a srt8 special edition.

to each their own but imo the diesel isnt worth it on the gladiator, and im a huge diesel fan Coming from 2500cummins. the fuel economy savings is devoured by the cost of ticking the option box; the towing is less; and dealing with egr long term is an expensive pain in the ass.

All good, though we definitely disagree. Cheers Jeeper!

Yeah, EcoDiesel Mojave would be my choice too. It's a shame they don't offer it. But, having said that, if they had planned to at any point I think they would have NOW. So I don't expect to see it as an option next year either.
