I just turned over 11,000 miles about a week ago. I replaced my engine air filter and took the Gladiator in the next day for my 2nd oil change. Ever since, I’ve noticed that my mpg is steadily dropping. I rarely ever get less than 20 mpg in town but I’ve dropped to 17 average over the past week. I certain that my air filter is installed correctly. Tire pressure is sitting at 35 on 37” KO2’s, which is normally the pressure that I run. I have a new fuel filter that I will install this weekend. Has anyone else seen anything like that before? Maybe the fuel filter change will help?

You were getting >20mpg in town? Is your local supermarket 20 miles away?
What? Do you know what driving in town means? I guess not. Let me specify. City driving. Not on the highway. Not Interstate driving long distance. . “Town” driving, “City” driving, whatever you want to call it, is stop in go in traffic, etc. got it now? Is it clear enough?

Did the dealership mess with your tire air pressures?

I thought I posted this in the diesel forum. Stock 3.73 gears. I’ve had the pedal commander since it was new. I’ve been getting 20 mpg on it around town with bumper, winch, Go fast camper, and yes on 37’s. I’ll average 24-25 on the interstate at 65-70 mph loaded with camping gear. It just all of a sudden started dropping. I’ve had the mods on for at least 6 months.

20 in town is insane. I wonder if there was a calculation problem. I can't even get 20 on the highway in a stock Mojave.
If your location went to winter blend diesel fuel already, that could be why mpg has dropped.
That may be it. I’m in Minnesota, and I believe they may have already started selling winter blend. Quite a drop in mpg from summer to winter blend. I don’t drive it in the snow and salt so maybe I didn’t notice it last

That’s because you’re running a gas engine.

No they’re pretty much the same they’ve always been around 35 psi.
sorry I did see after I replied you answered that. I’d say it’s the winter fuel. If it makes you feel any better I drop to 15-17 around town during the 110+ degree weather down here in the summer.

Broke 20 in my 1.5 leveled rubicon.. then.. slowly but surely, dropped to about 18.5 on my 10 hour drive yesterday.
