Sirius sucks for me. End of May and it's gone. I used to love XM but then they merged with Sirius and got rid of the best channels. I mostly use carplay and listen to Pandora or Spotify. A thumb drive or an old iPhone used as an iPod also.

Sirius is way over priced for what they deliver in my opinion.

I don't like new country, but I like Brad Paisley's new song that just dropped yesterday...

I have around 400,000, mostly rock and pop from the 1960's -1980's, on a 2.5" portable USB hard drive so I never have to worry about a shortage of things to listen to. If I live lone enough to listen to all of those I have another 200 or so CD's that I could rip. :jk:

Not cheap, but this one works with the 8.4" Uconnect.

Nothing beats running top/doors off with Millionaire by Queens of the Stone Age cranked, or the entire Songs for the Deaf album.

Same goes for bombing down a mountain on a snowboard.

For a more subdued mood - The Joshua Tree.

Years ago I boycotted all RIAA music because of what they were doing to independent artists. I found a great deal of music on mp3.com from literally garage band performers. And my musical taste moved away from what the DJs of the time were purveying on radio stations to something much different.

When Pandora became available, I seeded it with one artist I found on mp3.com, and after many years of thumbs up and down that station has evolved into music I greatly enjoy (and actually buy). You're not going to find any country and western, nor rock and roll, nor blue grass, nor popular. Because that isn't my musical taste. You'll find some easy listening, some trance, some European dance, some new age.

If you're not big on where popularized music has gone these days and think you might enjoy something different, here is my station--the only one to which I listen. Click the link and in your Pandora account (free if you don't have one) you'll see this as a shared channel. Thumbs up or down and it will become your station, disconnected from mine. If you think you might enjoy something different, give it a go. If you're into what everyone else listens to, please skip by. I'm not interested in what you think of the music I enjoy and couldn't care less what you find acceptable ...
