Hi all,

Took delivery of my 2022 Mojave yesterday. I needed a vehicle for the following tasks:
  • Towing 5k Ilb (loaded) ATV trailer, buddies, and all our gear to and from ATV parks (Had an F150 for this prior)
  • Trail rides and moderate off-roading (East Coast, so rocky rutted out trails, Had a 4 Runner that we wheeled prior and recently sold it)
  • Recovery vehicle ( I live in a rural area, everyone ends up needing something unstuck at some point, even the mailman)
Basically, I wanted one vehicle to do everything, the Gladiator seemed to fit the bill better than anything, theres nothing else like it.
I was torn between a Rubicon and a Mojave for a while and finally chose the Mojave. The lack of front locker and swaybar disconnect I can easily remedy, the suspension is absolutely fantastic out of the gate, I liked the Mojave steering wheel / seat bolstering, and I wanted the cast iron turn knuckles and frame reinforcements

I placed an order with my dealer, heres the timeline:

  • Mar 20, 2022 - Placed order at my dealer
  • Mar 21, 2022 - recieved VIN
  • April 21, 2022 - Build sheet was available
  • May 1, 2022 - Window Sticker Was available
  • May 18, 2022 - Vehicle was delivered to dealership / I took delivery - Process was painless and dealer gave me $1000 incentive so I ended up OTD under MSRP

Mods Completed:
  • 2" Lift - AEV Mojave specific spacer lift
  • JKS Quicker Sway Bar Disconnects (2.5" to 6" lift version)
  • Brake Controller - Redarc Tow-Pro Elite
  • Hardtop headliner - Boom Mat
  • Rugged Ridge headlight guards
  • Bed Cover - Diamondback HD
  • Molle Bedside panels - RC
  • Front Bumper - Rugged Ridge Arcus Stubby
  • Winch - Warn Evo 10s
  • On-board air - ARB Single, 813 Fab behind seat mount
  • GMRS Radio - Midland MXT275
  • Bulletpoint Phone/GoPro/Tablet mount
  • Ditch / A Pilar lights - KC Flex Era 3 (KC Mojave/392 ditch light kit)

Current Mods Planned:
  • 255/85R17 Tires - Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT
  • Adjustable LCA's - CORE
  • Steering Stabilizer - FOX ATS
  • Rock Rails - DV8 JT HD Tube Rails
  • Rear Bumper - Rugged Ridge HD
  • THORAX half rack

Will keep the list updated as I go.

Current State:

I ended up with the blue bc I couldn’t find any in green with the options I wanted. Love the blue now!

Recently added 35s and bed rack for RTT. May upgrade to lift at some point.

Love the list!

Thank you for posting your list, I will be keeping up with it as you go. I took delivery of my blue Rubicon in March and am insterested in a lot of the mods you have planned. This is the first vehicle I've owned in 25 years that isn't white but I really love the blue. Other than adding led bulbs, the tow pro elite is the only thing I've done so far. Next on my list is probbaly a new front bumper but haven't decided on which yet

Installed my Redarc Towpro Elite. Installation was quick and easy. The only challenge I
had was removing the 12v outlet to replace it with the knob for the brake controller. There IS a special tool you can get to make it easier, but if you're a little creative with needle-nose you can get it out without the tool.

Installed a Boom Mat headliner. Cheaper than hotheads, was worried about quality, but happy to report quality is great. I tried to install it all with the hardtop on, and it sucked. If I were to do it again i'd definitely follow the directions and remove it first, would have made life a lot easier.

Installed Rugged Ridge headlight guards just for aesthetics. Install was quick and easy and supplied hardware worked out great.

Also picked up some Weathertech floor mats

How do you like the Boom Mat headliner? Could you tell much difference with and without? I have looked at headliners but can't make up my mind. My JT doesn't have aux switches so my Redarc controller is in the little storage gap where they go in front of the shifter.

I like we're you've got yours, looks clean and out of the way there. As far as the Boom Mats go, no idea yet haha. Just got them in yesterday and today I had the top off when I was out and about. Aesthetically though, really happy with them. They make the interior look much nicer imho.

Thank you. I thought very seriously about replacing the 12v plug with the Redarc but that little hole isn't big enough for much so went ahead and put it there.

Helping the interior look more finished is my main reason for wanting headliners but am curious how much they actually help with insulation. The videos and reviews I've researched show varied results. Yours really look good!

Installed my DiamondBack HD and Rough Country molle panels. Was great that I installed them together because the Trail Rail's had to come out to install both. (The DB requires spacers under the bed top caps, and the molle panels mount with the same bolts the rails do.) The trail rails have plastic clips at each end, so once the bolts are out it requires a little finesse with a pry bar to get them off. The RC molle panels came in true RC quality, which meant I had to shoot them with some spray paint because the finish was already failing. All in all it turned out awesome, its going to be really functional. Makes me wish I would have gotten a Diamondback for my F150.

@Idlethunder since you asked too.

Just did a 450-mile trip over the weekend with them installed. Will say there is definitely a noticeable difference in wind noise coming from the hardtop, not totally eliminated but definitely better, noticeably easier to talk grinding out miles on the highway. Also noticed a difference in interior temp when parked in the sun, when you reach up and feel it the mats are significantly cooler than the surrounding hardtop. Definitely worth the coin and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Installed my bumper and winch last night.

The bumper is a Rugged Ridge Arcus w/Override bar.
The Winch is a Warn Evo 10s.

I had originally planned to go with a Warn Evo 12s, but found a really good deal on the 10s.

Installation of the bumper and winch took approximately 7 beers and 6 hours. It could be done faster but I had some mishaps along the way (dropping nut down frame rail, losing both of my 16mm sockets, etc)

Happy to report the factory LED fog lights on my Mojave fit the brackets included with the Arcus bumper. Was worried about that as I've seen a lot of people have issues there, so I was prepared to fab some. The Bumper also fits just fine with the factory Mojave skidplate.

The Warn Evo 10s just BARELY fits. it's super tight. Especially where the wires come off the control pack on top.

I removed the airbox and routed the cables under it. Easy peasy to get out.

I had to recruit my wife to come partake in some recreational companionship (help me hold the bumper while I attached it to the hooks/frame horns. I tried to do it by myself initially, there was just no way I could make it happen.

All in all, I really like the look and functionality and the installation wasn't too bad.
