This is what my speakers look like installed. I ended up having to cut the MB speaker grills to fit center of speakers. It’s an all JBL stadium system except the subs I can remember there name but they just sit under the seats, I will mount them eventually… fyi I would not have spent what these speakers cost retail, but my friend works for JBL and I am able to get 50-60% off. Non-transferable discount lol please don’t ask. Also did a hotheads roof liner for the soft top, this added a great deal to the truck to make the interior feel finished.

I also did the metal cloak rear swaybar endlink mount brace (not sure if that official name) . I would say nothing is really a necessary mod, EXCEPT THIS! I bent the crap out of my mounts when the truck was STOCK. I don’t know if the bolts where not torqued properly, I wouldn’t put this past jeep, but both bolts fell out but not before mangling the hell out of these mounts. I hammered them back into shape and added the metalcloak brace, and red loctite and haven’t had a problem since

That’s good! Here’s an excerpt from @drewcnit thought tbh I think that’s the first person to admit they’ve hit those coolant lines. $7k fix?

I hit these same lines in Colorado last year. I actually hit the exhaust pipe first which I think took the brunt of the force and the lines were moved and the bracket bent. I still need to fix the exhaust leak that remains from this rock. Did you end up putting a skid place in th
Yep, here's from the repair bill -

I should also say, if I had stopped and left it off immediately when it happened, I may not have needed the transmission, it probably burnt up trying to get down the mountain as I had the Jeep on but in flat tow mode, so that I could use the brakes and not hit the guy pulling me.

I like the Sarge Green and the Bronze wheels. I'm just not into all these mods folks do. I guess because I'm a turn-key guy, and I'm OCD, so if I were to try some of these mods, they would eventually get done, but I'm a sometimes perfectionist, and my ride would be sitting in a garage (& I don't own one) for too long. I just don't understand the thrill in driving wide open thru pot holed trails and/or climbing over boulders, and snorkeling thru rivers. NOT to be critical of you folks who do, it just ain't my thing. But, if I'm going wide open down some trail thru the woods, it's going to be because some bad guyz (or bad cops) are chasing me. :CWL: In this case, you picked a base JT to build your dream ride. That's the recommended way to do it. Once you're done, please estimate for us the total cost of JT & mods. THANKS for sharing with us.

I wouldn’t want to price out how much this cost. But I did search for the best deals possible at the time I purchased the mods, I found that calling companies is best and they do work with you on pricing. You can see my progression of mods throughout the process, I upgrade as I needed, I never really intended to go this far but actually installing the stuff myself is half the fun for me. I wouldn’t want to know what a competent off-road shop would charge to install half this stuff. Or an audio shop, or upholstery shop, or body shop. I did it all myself and I take pride in that.

Also if anyone knows… I mounted my Fox 2.5 in the rear on opposite sides so that the reservoir would be on the inside. I called Fox and asked if the rear shocks are valved differently passenger to driver and they are NOT. Does anyone see a problem with doing it this way? Doing it with the way the instructions say seems like it leaves the reservoir vulnerable to intrusion from something? I have cycled the suspension fully with the rear coils out and found no binding or interference of any kind. Does anyone know why this might be a bad idea?

Hi nice build. What makes you switch to Fox 2.5 from Fox 2.0? Also, how do you like your KBD fenders? I am thinking of doing the same mods.

I switched from the fox 2.0 because I wanted more adjustability and to haul ass in the desert and dunes, I regularly hit my bump stops and blew off my factory fenders a few times with the 2.0s. now the truck seems to float over everything at high speed without issue and is much less stiff on the street. But the 2.0s are a great shock for there price point and I guess to be able to do all they do, they do compromise in some areas like comfort on the street.

I love the KBD fenders. Can’t recommend them enough, might have to wait a while to receive them.
