I tired both the duel zone auto stack and the single zone manual stacks, couldn't get either to work correctly

Welp. I guess i’ll leave it plugged in overnight as single zone mtc and see what happens when i finally receive it.

So i installed it, left it as MTC for overnight for about 15 hours.

This morning I set it to single zone ATC, and disconnected the battery hoping to get it all updating. Will report in a few hours maybe overnight.

I believe that is the same screen I got when trying single zone...
Not sure why it doesn't let you turn it on. I truly believe there just must be more settings we are missing.

On the JL forum the other user had luck with dual atc, and getting an error code for the etorque. But mine seems fine. I’m gonna let the jeep do its thing for now with single atc and see what happens. I’m also reaching out to jscan to see if they can help.

I’ve been working on this too. Went from 5” with manual controls to 7” with Auto control stack for the last year or so. Just bought the new manual control stack for 7” that you guys are trying.

For background- First move was to find the VIN of a car with my exact configuration (MT, cold weather group) on autotrader to call a dealer for the right part numbers. When I called I found out that the 2022’s with this manual temp stack don’t have the “Temperature Cabin Air Sensor” or the upgraded sun sensor required to make the Auto Stack work. They only have the standard Sun sensor that comes with the early gladiators that came with 5” and manual temp controls.

Once the new stack was installed, cabin air sensor was removed and I swapped my Sun sensor back to the old one, I left it for about 24 hrs on Single Zone MTC with no luck (Climate Off screen). Had it on Dual Zone ATC for about 3 days… never worked quite right. It would blow cold, hot, or in between but not always the temp it was set to and changed temperatures randomly.

Today I set it to Dual Zone MTC and have a good feeling… it immediately booted up (as opposed to No Climate screen), and all buttons seem to work as they should, but no air is blowing. Makes me think that a few on/off cycles and an overnight might be the ticket. I’ll report back… Between us and the JL forum we’re all over this, only a matter of time!

So the old sun sensor needs to be in it?

Can't say for sure that it'll work for us, BUT the gladiators coming from the factory with this stack (7"+ screen, manual temp controls) only have the old sun sensor (part # 68230115AB)

On the jl forum, another member i’ve been speaking with got his to work under dual zone atc. Everything worked except the “Max A/C” physical button. So maybe the trick is dual zone mtc and let it do it’s thing overnight.

Trying dual zone mtc and i’ll let y’all know what happens. I’m disconnecting the battery now but before doing so the climate screen booted up so it’s a good start.

So dual zone mtc allows me to adjust on screen but doesn’t actually blow air. I’m going to let it sit for a few hours and check when i leave work.

I actually tried this first. I had the old sun sensor in and added the manual controls. I got it to somewhat work under duel MTC, but never 100%. I am wondering if it needs the sensors in the air ducts to work.
But is should have worked with single MTC... there must be another setting that needs to be changed

Yeah mine was very close with Dual Zone Auto... I also had every button functioning except Max A/C, the problem for me was accurate temp control. Maybe it's because I only had the old sun sensor in and no cabin temp sensor, but it seemed like it was missing the right sensors to match the temp I set on the screen. For example if I set 68 degrees for ~30 minutes, it would blow close to room temp for a little while, swing to be too cold, then swing back to become a bit too warm- which it shouldn't do if it's functioning as Manual temp control. Definitely wasn't working as Manual Temp controls are designed, which is what I'm going for... more of a frankenstein temp control.

This sucks to hear... definitely agree then, it seems we need another setting from JScan.

Only other idea- Anybody have a clue what the "SNA" setting on JScan is for? It made my stack and screen go crazy, but maybe after a few cycles it would settle in?

I tried SNA, it didn't work for me. I also bought the duel zome atc stack and the matching sensors, that didn't work either. I am going back to the single zone manual comtrols and going to attempt to get that to work. It should work with simgle mtc but doesn't, that means there is another setting we are missing

I’m trying to find a way to just get the blue red slider instead of the numbers. I think once you have it like that it’ll work fine.

My stock unit was single MTC with the old stack my radio was updating itself, and had the two icons and eventually had the single icon on the top left for single mtc.

For now it’s just showing both icons and not blowing

And then after the radio figured it out. So i suppose it’ll be a matter of waiting for the radio to figure it out.
