My True Weight ? Shes Gettin Heavy!

Out of curiosity I wanted to know the true weight of my rig as it's currently built. I realize replacing parts is replacing weight but for the most part aftermarket stuff is heavier. My rig started out as a 21 Willys with 3.6 and auto trans. The highlights of what weight I've added vs OEM are:
1) (5) 37-12.5-17 Cooper Discoverer SST's on fuel vapor 9.5 x 17 wheels
2) full belly skids
3) front/rear diff skids
4) rear shock skids
5) steel steering knuckles
6) forged steel drag link and tie rod
7) aftermarket adjustable track bars
8) (8) aftermarket adjustable control arms
9) front/rear steel bumpers, 12000 lb winch
10) hard top is currently replaced with Rugged Ridge soft top
11) replaced the standard JT f/r axle assemblies with JT Rubicon wide track assemblies. The tube walls are thicker so they are heavier.
12) Tyger rock sliders

There's alot of other mods but nothing substantial weight wise. The grand total according to the CAT scale at the local truck stop is 5700 lbs. This is without passengers and 3/4 tank of gas. If any of you have mods similar to these, this should give an idea of true weight. Hopefully I'm done with major mods (for now ?) so I shouldn't be getting any heavier.

Do you just drive it empty though? I would be curious to see where it sits with full gas, and fully loaded for a weekend trip.

Most of the time the bed is empty unless we're on an off roading adventure. All my off roading gear is around 200 lbs. The tank was showing 3/4 full so at most that's only about 20 lbs less than a full tank.

Given you were around 4800 stock, 5700 seems pretty light with all the stuff you've added.

The full belly skids can be very heavy or not too bad, aluminum Next Venture full belly is a gain of about 20 lbs. compared to some at 170 pounds. I like to think I do things keeping weight in mind, but it still adds up , just my RSI cap and ARB fridge with mount probably come in at 300 lbs. The fact that you are watching your weight and telling others is a good thing , Thanks!

For some context, I pulled this from RamdotCom. You’re heavy for a small truck, but still light and compact, relatively.

Also some good context for when we get upset that our “weak” Pentastar can’t drag our fat-azz down a 10-second quarter mile.

I’m at 5100lbs with similar mods as you, minus the skids/armor, steel bumper, winch, and steel steering knuckles. I also have a hard top and 35s on factory wheels

I’ll put my steel bumper on when it doesn’t feel like the planet Hoth from Star Wars outside.

In summary, I think for you it’s mostly the extra armor and skids. Seems reasonable but I’m not sure how much all that armor actually weighs.

I agree. I was guessing it at 6000#.

I’m going to be weighing mine soon. Should be installing AAL frigslide and 2 - 6” drawers next week … then I’ll weigh !!

I feel confident the f/r bumpers and winch alone account for almost half the extra weight. I'm not unhappy about it. Actually I was kind of surprised it wasn't over 6000#. The Planet Hoth comment made me laugh.
