My Gladiator came in yesterday. Unfortunately I won't be able to pick it up until next week. Fortunately (for the kids) another member got some shots of my new Jeep.

I know, I looked at over 20 '21 JTRD's and they all had red dash's, but they didn't have all the options I wanted so I ordered a "22 and I have been checking '22 JT Rubicon's on dealer lots and everyone has a red dash.
This is based on the exterior color as well - not all get the red. I think gecko and hydro blue don't, for example. What color is yours?

I wanted to order Billet then was disappointed it was discontinued. I just had an awful feeling that someone was waiting for their JT to be built and I got their dash after seeing others still waiting that ordered way back in October. A Red dash would of been nice to offset the Silver & Black interior.

I think you need to call that out in the post-delivery punch out list. Rubi's are supposed to have the red.

EDIT: I could be wrong based on @869 KPH 's post... I didn't think the exterior color mattered. If you go to the build/price website, even selecting Hydro shows a red dash in the interior 360 view.

I did search dealer lot's online today and found one other Silver Zynith Rubi that also had a Gray dash and until they post real photo's the generic pic's they show are in Red as I expected mine to be, I basically put in a blind order hoping it would be built with all the info I had on a '22 JT was coming from Forum Members, I can live with a Gray dash as I know there is a shortage of parts and can feel the frustration of others still waiting for month's while mine was built from order to on the dealer's lot in 51 days and the dash color is the only change I've found so far. The salesman did call me the day after I placed the order and said he had to remove one option I wanted because the part was not available, it did take a week of going back and forth of what options were available so I would tell him what I heard from the members of this thread and he said ok I'll check and then he would say you're right, it was on a thread that I heard that Billet was not available and was replaced by Silver Zynith which two dealerships I contacted didn't know about. I want to THANK all the members for their help in the build and waiting process and once your JT is delivered you won't regret it.

It was the Brake Controller that was listed as a build option and the salesman removed it from my build then two weeks later said it would have to be a dealer installed option, I believe the option was listed as $350 on the order guide and the dealership said there was no way they could install that option for that price. The salesman said that another build that was delivered before mine was suppose to have Falken Tires and had a different brand.

You could always do this, too: https://www.rubitrux.com/jeep-wrang...em-factory-original-mopar-dash-panel-kit.html

I'm sure there are other options as well...

37" BFG KO2's - Going on some Gold Fuel Covert rims. should be a nice contrast with the Granite. I'm going for a bit of the JL 392 color scheme with the gold accents.
great choice. I almost went for the 37" Falkens after I drove my stock JT off the lot (with the 33" Falkens) because they are SOOOO quiet. But the weight on those is crazy, so I went back to my tried-and-true (and noisier, but tolerable) BFG's ?

Yeah doesn't make sense that the new silver wouldn't get a red accent, but it's not due to a parts shortage. The panels are swappable if it's important to you though; they show up in the classifieds here every now and then. I'm actually happy mine isn't coming with the red - it would clash with my seats. Not sure that I agree with Jeep's assessment that it would clash with silver though.

If we want to get nitpicky - I think it's odd that some Rubicons don't get a red dash but then do retain the red locker switch panel; that color should change too.

@Jglad15 Oh man that is awesome!!! I checked in with Jeep Chat and they are now telling me 01/05/2022 - 01/10/2022...... maybe it is there though. Let me know when Chapman contacts you
That's awesome for both of you guys. The wait is hopefully almost over. If you see a Granite Diesel S just chilling in a corner somewhere on Chapman's lot, tell it I said hi and hope to meet it soon! Lol.

I had BFG's on my last Jeep, a '95 YJ, waaay back when - 20 years or so ago, and they served me well, so I figured I couldn't really go wrong. The weight differences between different tires are crazy though. I know the BFG's measure small, but that's ultimately not a big issue for me and is a fair trade-off with the weight - I'm looking for an aggressive look, but still something very street drivable as it'll get some heavy highway miles at times driving down to the Chesapeake for fishing and stuff.

That's awesome, I'll show that to my Wife since she was the one who noticed the dash and paid for the JT & Lift kit, the only benefit from having a Wife that doesn't drive. She made me pay for the rock rail steps so she can get into the JT so she'll have pay for Red dash too if it bothers her, I told her I had to put new tires on the beadlocks I took off the JL before trading it in so I'll be broke for awhile. Her birthday is coming up maybe I'll surprise her, she definitely has the Jeep fever since our JK.
