Did it with a Detailer friend answering questions and letting me borrow his buffer.

did pre soak- wash - rinse - iron remover- wash - clay mitt - wash - one stage polish compound - wash - alcohol wipe down - then two coatings of Adams Graphene

took about 5 hours. Probably a fair amount less for experienced people. I’ve literally never en put wax on a car before.

the slickness is unbelievable highly recommend. I did the hardtop, mirrors and glass as well.
Nice!! With my shoulders and wrist I would never be able to do all of that. Good thing Nacho looks clean even when it's dirty.

Well, unfortunately, I was unable to be patient and wait till they came out with what the head guy originally called "cartoon colors", and went ahead and ordered a red JT when we were first able to order in 2019. I traded in a Dozer JK Rubicon for the JT Rubicon, but no colors other than the usual suspects were available for order then.

So, now I'm stuck with a very beautiful red color that I have no complaint on, except it aint' Dozer!! I loved that color, and it appears the Nacho is either exactly that color, or damn close. So, since I'm not looking to trade mine in anytime soon, and the fact there's still no Dozer like color available at the moment anyway, I'm looking at a vinyl wrap perhaps. A complete color change. I've been quoted $2,900.00 without doing the door jambs, which I understand is a timely pain in the ass to do, so I'd probably wait till later on those.

Ideas? Suggestions? Any advice will be welcome.

I’d read that Gobi may be coming out soon in a post with an order guide. So, just saying, if that’s a consideration. As for wraps, I had a buddy warn me off those once, because when they get scuffed they can tear and there is no touch up but a redo to fix. Plus, most top surface panels tend not to last without issues over say 5 years. You may want to ask what type of warranty they will give on product failures to help with your decision. With that all said, i came to the conclusion that sorta expense for what seemed like a temporary solution wasn’t for me.

I'm running some analysis on this right now, and hope to have an answer in a few weeks, but until then...

Which do you think is rarer, Gecko or Nacho?

With only 89K 2021 Gladiators made, I suspect both are farely rare. I'm curious to find out exactly how rare.

I'd say Gecko. I have seen 1 other Nacho by me so that makes 2. I have only seen 1 Gecko on the highway and only that one time, never again. But who knows, it would be interesting to get the final numbers though

Nacho for sure. I have had mine a year next week and have only ever seen one other. This is local as well as several trips from Delaware to North Carolina. I have seen several Geckos in the five months that they have been out. In fact I know of two that are pretty close to me.

I think because Gecko was such a popular color and it ran at the end of the MY dealers jumped in and ordered a bunch of them. As well as past Gecko owners wanting another.

Interesting.

Where did you get this from? Also, is this global or just NA?

I'm currently scraping & processing build sheets and window stickers (where available) for all VINs to come up with this stat, but if there's a more direct way of getting this I'd love to know.

I thought the number was 1400 as posted last year.
sorry that was the diesels. Only number I retained. Don’t know total anymore
I've identified 763 Nacho Gladiators (and counting), so we can rule out 760 as being the total. Also, considering that my data says that Diesel represents only 8% of total Gladiators made, I don't see how both of these statements are true - the total number of Diesels cannot be 760 and/or the total production number cannot be 1400.

We'll see. I'm currently only 62% done with the '21 MY, and still regularlly identifying more Nachos.

There used to be a time that you could get this information from Jeep. You could find out how many of a particular color were made with specific options. This was back with the JK and earlier. I remember seeing some people having a 1 of 1.
