Need help

I pulled my 2020 Rubi Gladiator in to get gas today and after refueling it would not start. No cranking, clicking, nothing. I pushed it to a parking spot and tried to use my jumper pack. Nothing. Tried jumping from another car. Nothing. Bought a new battery, installed and it started but the dash showed a message saying something like not charging, vehicle will stop soon. Tried to drive 2 miles home. Voltage was showing 10.2. Half way home it said vehicle not in gear and would not move. It would start but not go. Eventually all kinds of lights , wipers, etc started going off.
Had to have it towed to a shop. Now it won’t even recognize my key fobs.
I think the alternator died but am looking for advice. Truck has 52xxx miles, no prior issues

For a new battery to drain in two miles it sounds like a serious direct short in the system. Could be that the auxiliary battery has a shorted cell.

I wish things were like the old days when it come to low batteries. The generator quit one night on my 1965 VW and I drove an hour (hopefully not exaggerating this many years later) with the headlights on until I got home. It was candle power when I parked it but the engine was still running.

But I agree with mdyucca, it sounds like a major drain somewhere. No big spark when you hooked up the new battery?

The aux battery was replaced in April. No sparks when installing it or the new main battery today. The new battery is not dead. The truck was running but just wouldn’t move (if you press the accelerator, it just revved). I got it out of the street and unhooked the main battery so it wouldn’t discharge any further. The aux battery kept the wipers and hazards going until it discharged because I couldn’t get to it to disconnect.

I had this issue too, signal and interior lights strobing, wipers jerking across the windshield, engine wouldn’t turn over. That was some time ago. Batteries were frozen solid and dead. Truck had lots of time to sit in the garage so I pulled them both and charged them up and monitored them with the load tester. The mopar batteries aren’t the best.

There’s lots of info on the forum here about doing an aux battery delete and just running everything off the main OR you can just do a serious upgrade on both batteries (I did this) and hopefully put this all behind you.

Hoping it’s just battery issues and not a short somewhere else. Let us know how it goes for you.

This happened to me about 3 months ago. Turned out the negative battery cable had become detached from the battery terminal. I re-attached it, but nothing. Was dead and would not jump or anything. Towed to dealer. Main fuse had been blow, Replaced and worked fine. Was under warranty. Even if out of warranty, was a inexpensive fix.

Update - Shop called and said a z case fuse had blown causing no power to interior of truck. They are replacing it so they can further diagnose.
