Thanks for the help. I think I figured it out. Turns out they installed the front track bar wrong. The hump that goes around the front differential if on the other side. Duh! Once I looked at it and compared it to the pics from yesterday it was obvious. The service manager is supposed to go through the whole install. Please feel free to contact us, it sounds like something might have been installed seriously wrong and I would like to help you solve the problem before it causes you anymore problems or damage. Either shoot me a PM here on the forums or feel free to call the shop at (203) 691 8593. Talk soon!
Well.... The good news is that at least its an easy fix... The bad news is those guys are idiots...Thanks for the help. I think I figured it out. Turns out they installed the front track bar wrong. Holy $hit...backwards AND upside down. Thanks for the help. I think I figured it out. Turns out they installed the front track bar wrong. Yeah I got them. They just don't stick to the textured surface of the control armsThere was no shortage of stickers in my boxes when I received them... The might be a little beat of from shipping but man... there has to be 20 or more stickers in my kit. (2.5" Overland Plus kit= 7-boxes). Glad you got it worked out and hopefully dialed in.
I don't think that's the right holeYeah I got them. They just don't stick to the textured surface of the control arms
I would reply to... "I don't think that's the right hole." But I think this is a family show!I don't think that's the right hole
Well, were glad your issue was resolved but that's definitely a sad install story, sorry you had to go through that! And we totally understand about the stickers lol, the powder coating we use is great for keeping the rust away, not so much for stickers staying on. But we are going to get a new style of control arm sticker sometime in the future and it will definitely stay on better!First, huge shot out to Clayton Off road! Their Premium 2.5 lift kit is working out great! Paired with Fox 2.0 shocks my Gladiator is riding smoothly. Gone is the bouncy rolling backend from the constant weight in the bed. We went to Corral Hollow OHV from the Bay Area and I had a great ride from the street and on the trail. One last test remains, with the rig loaded for a week out in the woods.
One complaint is, their stickers don't stick to their parts! How am I supposed to advertise for you guys, if I can't put on your stickers!
Not real happy with 4 Wheel parts. After the mechanic put the track bar on wrong, I was told the service manager would go through the whole install. With that information I asked for the service manager after my truck was fixed to explain what happened.
When we went to the truck I said " What happened?" He said "I don't know, I was on vacation." He was speaking of the first install. Then I asked "Did you see any thing wrong today when you checked it?" He said "I don't know, I didn't check it." He further said a different mechanic checked it. I asked if the other mechanic noticed any thing wrong and the service manager said "I don't know."
I have been in management most of my life, last I checked we are responsible for those that work under us and the work they do. If a customer has questions or problems it's our job to research and solve those problems. I guess it doesn't work that way here in town. To bad they are the only shop in town.
