Very cool.

I had one built in the back of the house. Also did it so it would match the rest of the house. Could not make it larger than 30'x30'x12' (due to lot size and I did not wanted to get rid of the trees)... and man, it shrunk so fast...

I did both doors 10'x10'. 6" slab to be able to mount the lift anywhere without issues.

Everything is a mess... we just moved and just needed to get everything inside as quickly as possible. Now comes the process of getting everything organized.

I am now saving for being able to get the electrical and driveway done...

Looking forward to seeing your progress with this project!!
Nice! Congrats! My neighbor is an electrician and is going to do the electrical. Waiting on the garage to be finished so he can provide a quote. I wish I could have gone bigger but we have spent way too much this year. Bordering $200k now without taking out loans which is nerve racking. What lift brand /model are you planning on getting?

I hear you loud and clear… reason why the electrical and driveway has to wait. We don’t want to take any loans either.

On the lift, I will be using what I had in our previous house. It will have to do until I can save up for a full size two-post asymmetrical unit.

This is what I have: MaxJax - it was the only two-post that I could fit in my previous garage due to ceiling height

You are way ahead of me having a lift. Nice 911! What year is it? Late 70s?

Best purchase I made for my knees...

That is a 1967. 912, not a 911. Same body, but with a 4 cylinder engine instead of the 6. That has been a long, long, long restoration project. Everything is documented in the 912 forum - Link

I have restored all the mechanical parts... but I suck at bodywork... all the metal is straight, but some parts needed to be swapped. New floors where put in, a few other body areas were replaced (door sill). Had to take back the car from the guy that was working on the body because he could no longer work on it... but I still need to replace a corner in the front that has a little bit of rust. I have all the replacement parts, I just need to learn how to do it.

But the engine, with the help of the 912 forum, I was able to completely restored to the last bolt... same with all the other mechanical components (brakes, suspension, etc.)

All that loose wiring is from doing the break-in on the engine stand.

Sounds like a great project to work on. I had the opportunity to buy an estate sale 356 for $60k but was beat to the punch by like 10 minutes. Don't remember the year. That was about 10 years ago.

Wife and I power washed the garage floor for epoxy tomorrow. Also, laid rubber tiles for our little gym and put together the spinning bike, dumbell rack and workout bench and moved the water rower to the new area. Pending TV mounting, BT speaker and a mirror.

Soon we will also have an infrared sauna.

Thank you for sharing these photos. My brother (who is no longer with us) had a 67 912 back in the late 80s. He did not have it for long, but loved it. He had to get rid of it since he was getting too many tickets on the Garden State Parkway. LOL
