I would take the truck to a local car stereo shop that specializes in sound deadening using Dynamat, Kilmat or similar products. They can apply it to the roof panels, doors, floor, everything but lots of stuff has to come out of the truck including carpets to lay the sheets down. With a full treatment of sound deadening sheets you will be shocked at how quiet the truck can get.

Edit: You can also install the sound deadening sheets yourself if you don't mind a lot of labor, just watch some Youtube videos and select the right product for the specific area to be treated.
I second this. Also, some other members mentioned that the Armorlite flooring helped lower noise level too, so that may be an avenue to explore. IMO this is a situation that can definitely be remedied to keep you in the JT.

Depending on how pluckly you feel, it's honestly an at home project if you have the hands to help. The products are like laying down peel & stick flooring, no great mystery. The chore is stripping the tub to get it everywhere and not breaking some fidly little plastic bit the dealer will then charge you a child for.

If sound bothers you that much you may need to consider a luxury car like a benz, lexus, cadillac or tesla, they are basically designed to keep all road noise out. I know it's not a truck thing but trucks in general are going to be noisy due to poor aerodynamic, bigger motors, clunkier design.

Maybe a cadilac escalade would be the closest thing to a truck while still having a high level of sound control. But probably won't be close to a lexus or benz.
I know but there is a line, lol! Can’t go that far!!! Thanks, it really is the answer.

Agreed. That and also wearing a pair of nice leather work gloves so the aluminum backing doesn't cut your hands to pieces....

This being a new experience, give the body time to adjust, just like farmers don't smell pig shit, I suspect your level of tolerance for noise and a way to pick out important pieces of info will change and adapt.

Full disclosure: I work for a hearing aid company, but I do back end office stuff, not sales. Depending on the mechanics of your loss, there are optional solutions. Implants being one; Bone Anchored being another. There is some surgery involved in both solutions, but the results are a far cry from even 20 years ago. Many modern hearing aids offer directional sound assistance, and even offer sound canceling features.

Not familiar
A final helping hand would be to have something like hurricane film applied to the glass on the interior to knock down any transients there.
Not familiar but will check it out.

I’m open to glass replacement options too.

Thanks again

@Papa Jawa This is slightly off topic, but check out Aftershokz wireless bone conduction headphones. I recently started using a pair for work, and they are awesome. I have the "Air" model (got them from Sam's Club for like $80) and they conduct sound via bones in your head; online they say they are great for people with hearing loss because of the way they transmit sound, and are designed to be used for situations that make in ear headphones unsafe, where the wearer also needs to hear the noises of their surroundings (runners, certain work environments, etc.) May be a good option for taking calls in the Jeep, since they don't go in your ears. Actually, I recommend them to everyone that frequently uses earphones because it's similar to speaking to someone that's in the room with you, not like someone is in your ear. Granted the bass isn't great, but I just use them for calls, primarily.

Yes, all that is on the table. I’m eager to find out more. And again thank you VA hospital!

My Mojave is my favorite thing, it’s just hard with it so uncomfortable to drive.

Don't want to hijack, but went through the same thing about 18yrs ago due to being in the construction business without using any kind of hearing protection. I've gotten so used to the constant ringing that I don't hear it anymore unless I think about it. As far as the JT goes for me, it's loud no matter if I have the windows up or down, top on or off and that ambient noise kills any kind of hearing in my other ear. My family and friends have learned to adapt too and it sucks, but you and they will get used to it.

Get a hearing aid for the left ear that has a long enough sound tube so you can put it on the right side of your body so you can hear people while driving.

One of the off label uses is sound control and deadening. I would often upsell it to people who lived on or near busy roads and you would be surprised (or not) how much sound is transmitted through the glass to the interior. Anything you can do to shift the sound out of the audible range will help the truck be "more quiet".

Same here brother, VA gave me a set of hearing aids that are phenomenal, lost most of my low end hearing in a Navy dive accident and for 34 years they told me hearing aids would do nothing for me until last year they gave me a set of Phonak hearing aids and tuned them for my hearing loss and BAM!, I can not only hear but I can tell what direction a noise is coming from. Anyway, don't sacrifice the Mojave just yet!

Hopefully sound deadening will work. We have the stock headliner and the sound isn't bad. Coming from an Expedition, the noise is slightly more in the JTR.

My wife has ear issues (balance, not hearing) but is more affected by low frequency and pressure imbalances.
