YES, but even if they pull the RF signature from your FOB.......their ability to write a new FOB has been disabled with the new TAZR toy.
I get it will stop them from adding a FOB to your Jeep, but...
If they can get the RF signature from your FOB, can't they just clone it and use the clone as if it is the original?

Can't wait to hear what you think, especially about the torque management.

No, they have to access the OBD2 port and access the network to clone/add a FOB, this disables that function. So even if they perform a relay attack to start and move your Jeep, once its turned off it would be a brick.

If you use the TAZR mini and add the PIN function and this............digitally the bad guys can't steal OUTSIDE of using a tow truck or flat bed.

Also adding hood locks and again with the TAZR mini, you can activate the horn/alarm even if the busted the hood locks.

Robust security is done in layers. When I started wrenching on cars in 1987 as a kid.....I would have never imagined that automotive work would cross over into my current occupation of Cyber Security......its wild stuff.

I’m not sure about this but I rode in a 392 with one of these last month and it disables the off road cruise and the throttle in 4 low seems weird. I wont go first but if someone else wants to try it on a diesel ill buy one and see if the other stuff I have done causes any issues

OK, I see what your saying. I live n an area where it's pretty unlikely to get nabbed. So I really haven't looked into that much.
I thought if the bad guys could get your RF signal with one of those fancy rf devices they could turn around and use the same device to just push the signal to your Jeep and open the doors and then drive off. Or would the RF device just unlock the door and then they need a different signal to actually start it?

I said the same I did see how it installs. It runs behind the dash on the passager side. It does not run onto the OBD port. You will probably beat me for install but I'll report back if I bet you lol.

Are there any potential performance issues with removing the torque limiter? Would it affect your everyday drive? Is it something that you want to use only when you really need the higher torque or would you run with it all of the time?
