Has anyone had a problem like this and if so, what was the cause?
I have had this into the dealer twice for this problem and the dealer cannot figure out what this is coming from and why it’s happening
THE JEEP HAS 10,700 MILES ON IT AND IS A YEAY AND 4 MONTHS OLD
Any information would be appreciated

I suggest you get underneath while a couple big friends are in the bed bouncing up and down as quietly as possible so you might isolate the sounds source. I would guess either shock bushings, missing or off the mark spring pad/isolator, or control arm bushings? Maybe just get under there with a can of WD40 and squirt the heck out of every bushing underneath! Trying to do so from the top, so gravity will help liquid seep down and into. Good luck as that would drive me nuts.

I agree with the exhaust hanger idea, and I'll add, to me, it sounds like maybe the shield around the spare tire or some kind of thin metal rubbing. To my ears it doesn't sound like a rubber bushing issue, but I could be wrong as I spend a lot of time around loud amps and drums..

I have a 2021. Have had this issue since new in cold weather. Got worse and worse. Two dealers couldn’t figure it out. I have it now almost three months at dealer and they can’t figure it out. Replaced almost all things and also the exhaust hangers recently.

May not be applicable, but had similar sounding noise on my old JK and it had to do with either a loose heat shield over the muffler, or gravel on the heat shield.

Did you apply lubricant such as silicone grease to the hangers where they interface with the exhaust? In my experience, they need to be cleaned and well-greased.

The dealer I think just put new ones on with brackets. What part needs to be greased? The rubber bushing?

OK, so I crawled under the truck yesterday and remove the spare tire from the hanger
I went over some more bumps, and it made the exact same sound

I checked everything I could see and reach the spare tire shield is tight. All the rods and exhaust hangers seemed tight and didn’t make any noise when I manually tried to move them or the exhaust.
The springs seem like they’re in the proper locations. I didn’t notice any rub or wear marks anywhere that I could see.

I also tried to physically move any heatshield I could see nothing moved. Nothing made any noise.
I know everything is relative, but do you think bushings of any kind would need to be lubricated after only a year?
And this is all normal street driving the vehicle has never been offloaded at all yet
I understand rain snow salt elements have a hand in things but only after a year and four months

If you get a few guys bouncing the back up and down does it make the noise?

No. I have tried to duplicate. The only way is a speed bump when both back wheel s come off the speed bump together or some other bump like that. Worse when cold.

The exhaust hangers are a bracket with an integral rubber bushing that are bolted to the chassis. The exhaust pipes have a piece that is made from round bar that slides into the bushing. One at a time, remove the hangers, clean everything, then apply silicone grease to both the inside of the rubber bushing and the part of the exhaust that slides into them. Then re-install the exhaust hanger.

That is exactly what mine did too. I could not replicate the noise in the garage no matter what I tried. It went away after lubricating the exhaust hangers.

These are brand new ones and it still makes the noise. They took the bed off to drive and listen for it riding in back. They also tried chassis ears many times.
