I’d Like to get a 2-pack of hood latch locks, and install one on my wife’s JL and one on my Gladiator. The set I purchased required drilling a hole, though, and I just don’t want to do that if it is something that can be avoided.

Any suggestions for locks That don’t require drilling into the hood and have pretty simple installation?

Bolt Hood Lock. Works perfectly and uses your Jeep key. As long as you don’t have the trail cam it’s perfect.

Mine have the flat key, which has the advantage that the little key door helps keeps ice out, whereas the barrel lock ones might benefit from some black electrical tape over the hey hole. But the flat key version is probably easier to pick. In fact, the key for my old truck caps also works on the JT's hook latches.

Either provides a little bit of deterrence, making it slightly easier to go for someone else's truck instead. You might want to move the horns to make it harder to cut their wires, too. In my case I just wrapped sheet metal around the wires.

And cable lock the spare tire.

I strongly endorse the Bolt. Had one on my JKUR and put one on the JTM. Totally non invasive but you need a stout rivet tool like the large size one from Harbor Freight. All the locking hood latches I researched had cheesy locks. The Bolt works with your fob key. Plus, it prevents hood flutter at highway speed.

Man, did you know that some people actually drive their trucks in areas that might experience crime?

Curious, since you clearly don’t drive your truck and just stare at it: do you change the oil at 6 month intervals, or do you just say “screw it” because you know that your baby is never leaving your driveway anyways?

Crime fighter.
I probably would have bought these, but looks like they are either discontinued or out of stock at the moment.

Around us the bad guys like to take cars from the fancy mall with high-end stores.
Which is why I avoid all of the above!
