There are gates in spots and when they are closed you cannot go around them or access the area. People go in and "open" them, so when you go through with it open and get caught by forestry it causes problems. There also were some issues a few years back with big spikes being placed in the mudholes, so when you went through it blew your tires out. There is a local Jeep group, Crystal Coast Jeep Club, they have a facebook group and are easy going. If your out this way it is worth hitting them up, some of the members still go out and cruise through the Croatan.

Hey guys, does anybody know of someone in the triangle area that has a JL/JT rubicon, sahara, overland, willys, or mojave plastic front bumper laying around that they would sell for $100 without foglights? Checking classifieds here, no local luck so far but i know some guys upgrade, never get around to listing them / forget about them and are collecting dust in the garage, attic, or crawl space. Long shot, but wanted to check, thanks!

I’m North of Raleigh, found a few places to go around here. Keep wanting to go check out that busco beach with the utv. Some people say it’s a little wild but might be fun to ride for a day. Not sure if I would camp on a weekend there from the reviews.

Awesome! We just moved here right before COVID hit. So of course we’ve not been able to meet anyone or really do much. Would like to go with someone else that is familiar so we aren’t so lost lol. Maybe we could get a jeeper group to go sometime.

Wife says I need to stay stock so that's my plan.

Had my Sport S Gladiator for about a month now and I am looking to do some VERY light off-roading. I like to take it easy and enjoy nature (bonus if there is a good fishing spot involved). Will be keeping my Daisy mostly stock...maybe some 33s or 35s later on but nothing too extreme. Keep me posted if there are any easy trips coming up and I might be able to join!

Welcome. What part of NC? If you're on Facebook, there is an NC Overland group. And someone also just started a softroader group too. I occasionally trips organized/promoted on the first one. I know I'd definitely be interested in an easy trip too to meet some people and enjoy nature.
