Amen to that. I have a high tolerance for spicy and regularly use Ghost Pepper and Carolina Reaper to season things BUT I ate one of those “One Chip Challenge” chips and thought I was going to die for about 45 minutes. I was on the floor in the fetal position, sweating profusely on the verge of calling 9-1-1.

I did not win.

I have a high tolerance to hot but have noticed that it varies.
I do not like to see what is my max. Just put some hot in my food and enjoy it. I do get enjoyment out of watching people do stupid stuff though.

My second wifey is from the Denver area, soutwest states. So she cooks with some heat. After we got married. I had to tell her to turn down the heat in some of her cooking. From 6 alarm to 3 alarm. My Pennsylvanian Irish, Scottish, Croatian taste buds were hurting.

When we visited Korea, I went for the red sauces, my wife went for the white sauces. Thankfully my son recalled my wife's dislike of hot foods.

Speaking of hot - my son's half-sister and her husband run this outfit. And yes, that's their cat on the label.
