I have two sets of OEM lug nuts since I put new wheels on our JL and JT. Do they have any value? What did you do with your old lug nuts?

I'm sure they have at least some value to someone. It is never a bad idea to have a few spare lug nuts on hand.

Exactly - eventually the originals will get messed up, finish wear off or get damaged, rust, bad-fitting wrenches mess with 'em, or some dufus somewhere doesn't torque them right and you lose one. I have a full set of spares "just in case". I'll use what's on there until they start to look ratty, then replace them with the spares that came with other wheels.

I won't even comment like "you can never have too many nuts" - someone, this being a Jeep place, would comment for sure.

The issue is that most aftermarket wheels use different lug nuts. The OEMs will not fit in Fuel Beast we have and I am sure a lot of others, so I cannot use them.

I sold the wheels from the JL and the buyer did not want the lug nuts since he already had a set. The JT wheels will get sold soon and probably be the same situation.

I guess I will list them for sale and see what comes of it.

thanks

I have bought used like new take off sets in the past off of Ebay and $20-$40 is about market plus flat-rate USPS shipping.

There is a crap ton of build shops flipping them on Ebay all the time.

Post them in the "pay forward" - give them away if the other party pays postage. You can ship a batch in a flat rate package really cheap.

I may just do that. $20-40 a set is not going to make a difference in my life.

Torque is 130 FT-LBS per the owners manual and that is what I torque to. Considering it is a 14MM stud, that is about right for the torque spec.

They stay in my wife's purse...

ohh you said LUG Nuts, sorry..... No value, can buy a set of aftermarket off amazon for $20-$25, not worth my time to sell. I'll toss 3-4 in the glove box, the rest are destined to rot away on my spare parts shelf...
