...I have Remote Start!

OK, OK...so I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. I purchased my JT Sport on 8/23/23, downloaded the window sticker plus the build sheet, and read through them being focused on whether or not it had the tow package, what gear ratio it was built with, did it have Android Auto, etc...

So, after all this time I re-visited the documents over the weekend and saw it was equipped with that feature. I pressed that little button twice and heard it start up.

Well, what do ya know....

I was surprised if you drive and stop you can leave it running and still lock the doors with the remote . Handy when checking your mail and not let someone take off with it.

AWESOME!!! With any luck you'll be like me and get your truck starting up at 3:00 in the morning in your garage.... Such an option!! (If I could disable mine I would....). Don't ever get your FOB wet.

This feature is great for daycare pickup to keep the car warm for the little monsters. Esp for us knuckleheads that enjoy MTs that don't get autostart.

In this house, it's my wife finding the 20 in the washer - and it becomes HERS and I have no idea what happened to my 20.

This is why I never carry cash unless traveling...........the wife & kids see I have cash.....and it disappears lol

Are you saying your key fob got wet, glitched and on its own, remote started the jeep as it was parked in your garage? Sounds like a good way to inadvertently CO poison the household.

This really happened to us yesterday:
We went to Pizza Ranch for dinner. My wife loves their chicken and for me, its' the salad bar and pizza.
They have one of those machines where you use a "crane" to grab and win rubber ducks and other small similar toys. A buck a shot and you keep playing until you get something.
A mother and her son, probably 6 or so, walked in and past that duck machine. the kid begged to play it - mom said she didn't have any cash.
The kid spoke right up - "so use your credit card".

LOL - oh, boy, just wait until he's a teenager!

it is only available with your free Sirius mobile app trial. Once it expires Jeep will want and extra $5 a month in addition to the Sirius App subscription of $30 a month. There is a workaround though. Before you start the Jeep you need to push this code with the wheel buttons up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right b ,a, select then push start. That should unlock it.

Yup. That's exactly what I'm saying. Multiple times that I know of. And ironically, usually in the middle of the night. Possibly because it's on my dresser at night, and that's closer to the garage than my office/studio. So.....dunno. Bottom line, I'd love to disable remote start from my vehicle if anyone knows a simple method.

Lol, yeah the wife and kids response is always a credit card too. I tell them, well you pay off my Hilton Honor AMEX and game on lol

Because my wife loves their fried chicken, she calls it "Chicken Ranch" - I asked - uh, do you remember that movie with Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton from the 1980s??
I think the "place" was referred to as "the chicken ranch" if I recall correctly.
