I just received lights and wasn't able to mount them. It appears the metal clip that the factory screws go into have holes that are too small. The lights were mfg 7/22 according to the sticker on them. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what was your fix? Also, was this the batch that was identified as problematic? @ORACLElights

Clips like that are made to bend a give a bit for installation. I would run the screw through them before installing, essentially 'tapping' the clips. It's good that they're tight, just need to make sure you don't overtorque them and break the plastic.

Yep, the first time you put them in you’ll need to use some force the first or second turn of the screw driver, then it’ll be butter.

I had the same issue. They are smaller. Luckily I was replacing an older version so I took the clips off those. They are definitely too small

Tried that and I can't get it started straight to run them in correctly.

I thought about using something with more force than my hex head screwdriver attachment but didn't want to potentially ruin the warranty because of this ISSUE. Mine are new in the box but the date code of 7/22 is before Oracle put out that update on 1/23.

I held the clips by themselves with a vice grip and started the screw. That way you don’t break the plastic they clip to. One good run through will get you going.
