Yeah Koons has been quiet for the last couple months.

Glad I didn't wait for '24. I ordered my '23 on 18 August '22 and took delivery on 26 October '22.

Jeep still hasn't updated for '24 pricing yet.

You might be able to get some better deals north of Everett if you can go that far.

Don't have the punkn mojave though. There are a few around that have sat on the log over 200 days if I went Black or another color.

That's understandable, because color can certainly be a bit of a determinant of preference and value. It's obvious that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, in comparison to the Black vs. Punk'n, back in September I saw some trend data that some of you may find interesting. At the time, I was attempting to value my '22 Gobi Mojave asking value, because I thought my '23 Punk'n order was getting close to come in. So, a dealer friend showed my his screen to the Manheim Market Report (MMR) which provides an average vehicle valuation estimate based on the last few months of dealer auction sales. It's basically a tool for them to roughly configure an estimate of wholesale based on vehicle's trim, mileage, color, and a few accessories. Well, we took a look at how much color influenced value and this is roughly what I recall:
- Tan (Gobi) had about a $300-500 addition of value
- Orange (Punk'n) had a 700 addition
- Black color had roughly a 300-500+'ish deduction
- Grey had a small deduction (I think), but I'm not 100% sure now, so I ought not put a $ on it.

Of course that's not to say that only certain colors are good and others are bad, just a bit of sharing of what trend valuations I recall seeing on that screen at that time. I'm just guessing that the manufacturer is trying to best gauge how many units they will sell of each color and plan accordingly, but in that guess, tastes and trends change a tiny bit and most consumer buying is emotional so emotions change daily. So, some colors will undoubtedly be consumed with fewer days on the shelf while other colors may sit when they experience their market saturation point.

Oh my. Washington state is so far out of reach with the tax base.

Hard to grasp how it is done on a daily basis. No different than California I guess. Just, wow.

Looks like barring something odd it will go through, got it at 17.5% off MSRP. OTD of 57,359.28 with 6344 in taxes, thanks Jay Inslee at your evil friends. They will even bring it to me for $300 which is about what it would cost me anyway to do it myself but it saves me the time. The delivery is on top of the OTD, but the trip would have been as well.

I think you got a very good deal at 51k. (I mean that's only 9k more then I paid for a Freedom Max Tow that was two years old and 24k on the odo.) If that was your preferred color to get in on a Mojave I'd take it if I had the money. No telling how much longer it may have lasted. Totally feel you on the tax. I had to pay 8.6% on mine. :headbang:

Our local dealer here in AZ has a similar Punkn Metallic Mojave for $10,633 off MSRP of $63,550 (16.73%), then and additional $1,500(2.36%) if you go through their finance department. I will say their finance department is fair and doesn't stick you with high interest.

I have been watching this one in case I want to say goodbye to the EcoDiesel Rubicon I have.

As others have said, make sure you qualify for all of those discounts and rebates. That's a time honored bait-and-switch with dealers.

I ordered our Punkn Mojave through Gupton and took delivery right before prices took the plunge (great timing on my part - haha). However, the color was key for me and my wife and it was equipped the way we want it. Ours was pretty similarly equipped to yours and that deal with all rebates beats my discounted price by about 5k. So in my eyes, its a good deal, but that may not hold true in a buyers market.

If the color is a big driver in your decision like it was for us, then I would jump on it. They aren't making more Punkin JTs!

Yea, I have a purchase agreement and moving forward. They will deliver it to me Thursday for $250 which is cheaper than if I flew down there and drove it back. And I don't have to eat an entire day to do it.

Well congrats! Post some pics when you take delivery. We've loved the Punkn color and its gets lots of comments where ever we go.

That's around what I paid for my JTR in April '21 locally in Everett. So it's a decent deal on paper (did I miss the options list? Leather, bed liner, etc.). If it's a base Mojave it's not a good deal.

Yeah, I f**king hate WA sales tax BS. The tax situation in WA is reason #3 or #4 why we left.

That's a better deal than I made here in SoCal, totally worth it. I'm also very self aware once I get a crush on a car or truck the period of pragmatic and reasonable thought goes to obsession...in other words a car sales persons dream! Safe travels where you go-
