Being retarded…err.. retired myself I have to agree. Although I’m fairly young to be retired so I play Mr Mom running kids along with all the household stuff. Or at least enough that SWMBO doesn’t murder me in my sleep after she gets off work.

I am too mean , will not watch anymore children, refuse to watch grandkids( of which I have none as of now) my Mom didn't have anyone to watch the 6 of us and I will be danged if I spend my retirement watching children. Thats not retirement that's a daycare/ nursery.
It's a more modern thing where people have children then pawn them off on the grandparents so they can go galavant all over leaving their kids with grandparents . Who's raising those kids.

My youngest nephew collects watches several years back he gave me one... I don't wear it because I would hate destroying it. I know I've definitely destroyed several, one not in manor most here have. Scratches and general wear n tear.

For some reason some don't like being near IED blasts. That was my watch I was wearing in 04 in Iraq. Always keep a plan B and C avaliable. Passport and cash can be used in some situations. A $$$ watch works at other times. Kurgerands in others.

Yep. About the only one I found that could take the abuse of detonations and prolonged firing was a higher quality G-Shock. The rest I tried never took it for long. They weren’t really expensive watches so no big deal but the G-Shock just kept on working.

My wife and I agreed that we wouldn't be babysitters for our grandkids... but we enjoy having them visit occasionally (with or without their parents), for a few hours or a few days.

Well, I can agree with that along with Citizens watches... trouble with it is Citizen doesn't support mine anymore.

Plus, it's not happy with still working, the last service by Citizen was several decades back, cost me almost half of what it costed me. I'm sure they were surprised on having a 197 ft in it's dive log then. I might have been a little deeper than it should have been. Not my intention but the two Army officers, I was diving with. They wouldn't pay attention and I had to direct them to come up several times.

I got 6 grand kids. Don't see enough of them. One is 40 minutes away and I only see her about once ever month and a half. They other 5 are across the country. One in NM. 3 in Colorado. One in Japan.

Other obsession, besides Jeeps. 4 wheelers, shooting firearms, outdoor activities. Well more activities outside. Been trying to get my scuba gear ready and hopefully going to get some scuba diving going.
Some if not most of my gear is older than some on here.

My first dive computer, I don't know if I can get batteries for it even anymore.
