I think I'm too short to have this problem lol. I have smashed my elbow on the door latch sliding out before though and boy did that hurt.

Ditto that, multiple times, rear driver side door latch does not like my right elbow

I'm laughing, imagining OP getting shaken around like a firefly in a mason jar, and he just melts into the seat down so far that his elbow hits that latch. LOL
What on earth?!?!? It's just not possible.

from the tip of my fingers to the end of my elbow when its bent 90* its 20".

Seat is all the way back, steering wheel is all the way out and to the bottom. Lets my shoulders rest neutral.

There appears to be a lot of backward lean. Can you adjust the seat to be more upright without hitting your head? I have my seat back close to straight up and down so that I can comfortably hold the wheel in the 10 and 2 position. The steering wheel is adjusted just high enough to make the gauges fully visible.
