So far Elliot at SLC Jeep is the man. I hope this buying experience continues through my arrival to pick up. If everything contiune this smoothly I'll be happy. He even apologized as he's been swamped with referrals from this fourm.
Well keep us informed. He's done me right so far. I hope to get my Happiator by Mid May.

I probably be posting my experience with certain dealers I've had communications with pretty much all across the country. I wouldn't have found Elliot without this forum.

Just an update on my experience with Elliot from Salt Lake Valley Chrysler. I'll be picking up tomorrow after a short drive from Colorado. He has been absolutely a pleasure to work with. I picked one off the lot as it had all the features I wanted and it worked for me. When I first talked with Elliot, I told him what I brought to the table and asked for his no bs lowest dollar. It took a little bit for him to get back to me but, explained he was busy with everyone from this forum hitting him up. I'm glad a waited, his numbers were well below any other dealers and felt no need to negotiate further. I searched coast to coast for the best deal because I'm cheap. I highly recommend Elliot so far. I have no doubt, delivery should go just as smooth tomorrow.

Here at SLC Jeep. All the paperwork was ready. No unreasonable wait times, just have patience as Elliot is running his ass off. Just waiting for the gladiator come out of the wash bay and I'll driving 5 hrs back home. Elliot at SLC is the real deal and all said and done he saved me $1600 over the next best deal offered to me.

It worked out great! Ride home was an experiment of sorts. It was delivered with over inflated tires. It wandered a bit but nothing attentive driving couldn't correct, its still a jeep after all......I think it drove better then my 09JK. Second half of the trip I stopped and deflated the tires from 48 to 38, noticed a huge difference

I paid $52,434 for 2021 JTR. Got my Tread Lightly discount, huge dealer discount and an extra $1000 rebate offered by Jeep on JTs delivered by the end of the month. Sticker was $62K

Order was:

Rubicon
Diesel with HD auto
Active Safety Group
ACC Cruise control safety group
Cold weather group
engine heater (ok so I live in AZ, planning a trip to Alaska)
Alpine Premium Sound sys 8.4" with Nav
Trail Camera
HD towing group
Remote Start
Proximity locking/unlock
Mud Terrain Tires
Body color fender flares
Black freedom top (why pay $1100 for color match, putting Rhino Rack backbone roof rack, can't take care of painted roof with a rack on it.
Bluetooth Speaker
LED lighting group
Aux switch group (because $295 is much cheaper than an sPOD)

I didn't want leather again for a vehicle that was going to be doing 5,000 miles a year off road (long overland trips like HOW, Back Country Discovery Routes, TAT, CD Trail, ect)

The cargo group was crazy in price to put trail rails and a underpowered inverter in the bed. Bought a new set of trail rails from Mopar Parts on Ebay for $308

Had bedliner done locally for less than factory option with a lifetime guarantee.

Better floor mats aftermarket at much better than factory price.

Didn't do the bumper upgrade for $995, much better aftermarket bumpers out the for nearly half the price.

Took this picture before the mods started with only 25 miles on it.

Damn nice! Mine was a cash deal, so there are a couple incentives I didn't qualify for. Honestly it was worth the premium for all the hassle of financing. You got one hell of a deal. I'm starting to get used to all this tech, I'm an analog kind of person. Most likely I'll turn most of it off, except that adaptive cruise.........I've tried that out just today. Currently at 561 now, breaking her in for the 13hr drive back home to Montana.

On my drive today I've encountered a gremlin. The backlighting on my speedo started flickering and is now out. Going to do my research tonight and it'll go to the stealership in the morning. Hope they don't give me any troubles. I didn't buy it from them and they won't be my regular dealership for warranties.

I'm an analog

My home state doesn't collect any sales tax. All I'll pay is any city/county sales tax where I pick it up at. Hoped I could have found a place that doesn't collect taxes for out of state buyers but seems not to be the case. Still thousands cheaper then buying at home.
I've bought several vehicles out of state. Make sure the dealer knows which state you're from, and how your state handle sales tax, if at all. With enough persuasion, which shouldn't be much, the dealer will calculate taxes, if applicable, correctly for you.

I paid $39,900 OTD for mine which included all taxes, fees, etc. Suggested retail was $41,085. I was satisfied with the deal I got.

I pay $0 dollars in sales tax from my home state. I paid dealer fees and 45 day temp tag from the state of Utah. The dealer and salesmen took care of all that paperwork. I'll I did was sign the sales contract, give them a check and drove away. I didn't research their state laws to even care, I figured they were trying to scam me into paying extra. As I called around I found some dealers tried to collect city and county taxes.....some did not. I went with a place that did not. And I believe I got a fair deal.
