What I'm trying to ascertain is if there is a overhead storage solution, for the backseat, hinged or fold-down, box style and lockable?

Being here in Alaska, I try to at least always have either a 12-gauge or my scout .308 with me when I head out into the wilds. I've seen smaller systems like this, for pistols, but they're usually tied in with overhead molle systems.

Anybody know if someone makes something like this?

Like I said, something not just a rack, but a fold down, lock-securable box. I'm likely going to have to look into having something fabricated for me.

In all honesty, it looks like its going to end up a hybridization of a powered shotgun-esque cuff, a bit of minor wiring and a hinged swing-down box by one of my local fabricators. I'll try to post more as the project proceeds.

Very likely it will end up like the Grenadeacorp GCP-1 box that came out for the JK a while back, but instead of being tied directly into the hardtop itself, I can tie it into the rollbar area.

Check EBay for old cruiser parts every so often. You might be able to get a Blac Rac mount for $50-$100.

I don't think what I'm planning would accommodate the big cuff of the BlacRac. I'll post what I'm planning when I go speak with the folks at Green Tree Fab here in Anchorage.

My only worry would be if the Joytutus version would actually fit/connect in the correct spots in the backseat. It says its for the correct years of my 2024 Mojave, buuuuuut.... *wrings hands*

Is your back seat open? The underseat storage would be about perfect and wouldn’t require you to block the rear window.

Sadly, my underseat is full, and I'm not really looking to do a delete anytime soon.
