Haha that's some great feedback folks thanks

Money is a Lil factor of course.. Especially since they not really discounting these much at all!

I can get a pretty fully loaded overland for 51, 165. And that's really loaded

Rubi is closer to 60..

I think I'm leaning towards the Overland
. N then having something to look forward to... Adding some parts in the future... Wheels and tires / hood ;)

And the tuner for sure... Diablo has it for 499$

I think you were in a win-win situation no matter what you chose. It's a great vehicle and will absolutely enjoy it!

I price out the two the way I would like It's Overland for $55745 and the Rubicon for $59,390 difference of $3645 This is every option but bed liner/tip smokers group and bluetooth speaker. For me the difference is so small that it just makes sense to go Rubicon.
I figure $1000 to get the wheels I want on the Overland. Now the difference is $2645. Plus I like the Rubicon look better and resale is better.

I will be doing some off roading nothing the Overland couldn't handle maybe but it's going to be a lot more fun to do in the Rubicon.

This may help you. Here is a link to Rebel off roads build. It is an overland. They threw 37s on it right away without swapping gears. It will be getting the full treatment with axles and suspension but they have been running it like this for a while. If this answers your questions about the gears turning bigger tires.

I went with Overland has almost every option no color top which is very pricey. Anyway i added tires/wheels & level kit. Does everything great.

Was that bumper an option from the dealer?

For those that have the Rubi
Is the suspension mushy / soft on highway?

I don't like a mushy that's why I ask

For example... Highway speeds and doing the dolphin.. My old Ram used to do that until I put bilstien 5100s on her

Drove a Rubicon tonight with the AT tires.
Rode great. Compared to my F-150 it was much better. My F-150 has a much more mushy ride.

Hi all new here and will be pulling the trigger very soon on a Gladiator.

been bouncing back and forth between models

This will be a daily driver and will not be going off road / NYC here

I just really like the look of the Rubi and really like 4:10 gearing / will be towing a motorcycle / trailer

But would it be overkill? would the 3.73 gears on Overland handle stock Rubi wheels, I would definitely buy a pair if I got the Overland

How does the Rubi ride on highway and at what speeds does it stay stable still

also the Overland comes with Anti spin rear which is helpful for NYC weather

ehh confused lol

any input is appreciated
I went to my dealer to buy the overlander but when saw it side by side with the Rubicon I asked my wife for her thoughts...she said"really honey, the Rubicon makes the overlander look like a tonka toy...go big or go home Hun"....I admit this is simplifying things a little, but it made my choice easy. Enjoy whichever you choose

I was in you’re same shoes 3 months ago. I completely fell in love with the Gladiator. I never wanted to go off roading. I live in Miami. My previous car was a Lexus GS 350. So you can imagine.

I spent weeks looking at videos, pricing then in the Jeep site. I looked at every model. Priced with all the option that I wanted.

Until one day I decided to go look at them and when they parked a sport, a overland and a rubicon, the Rubicon just looks like the big brother.

Now that I’m seeing more and more Gladiators on the road and when I pull up to a stock Gladiator it’s 2 different vehicles.

And the stock Rubicon is ready for everything.

My recommendation go with the Rubicon and have the dealer install 35in tire.

If you decide not to with the Rubicon, then, I would suggest getting a Sport with the Max tow and have the dealer install the 2 in Mopar lift and rim and wheel. Then you can slowing add all the cool things like katskin leather, bumpers...etc

First one I drove was a Rubi. Sweet. Thought about how often I would be off-road: little to never. Then found an Overland on the lot with every option I was looking at ordering. Cushy ride with leather would appeal to Mrs. which means I would hear “Let’s take the Jeep.” more often. :like:
I said “Yes, please.” Changed out the all-season tires that came with it for a set of Goodyear Wrangler ATs. That gave it a slightly more aggressive look. Also added the Mopar hard tonneau cover. No regrets on all of those decisions. Love it.
