Picked up my Overland on 4/17. Doing heavy tire research now...my plan is to use existing rims (totally fine/very solid/like them - no need to change) and upgrade from AS to AT. It's not a daily driver - maybe 3,250 miles/year - so I'm considering Kumho Road Venture AT51 or Yokohama Geolander AT G015. I know the reviews and am processing all the relevant feedback.
I'm going with the Yoko Geolandar G003's in 305/70R18 on the stock Overland wheels. Getting them installed Thursday or Friday this week. Shoot me a reminder this weekend and I can send you some pictures.

The Nitto site indicated that I couldn’t put that size Ridge Grappler on the stock Overland rims, I had to go with the Terra Grappler G2 to make the stock rims work...did you have any push back from your shop about mounting them on a 7.5” rim?

Update - another tire shop site said they work, will pull the trigger and see what happens

I appreciate the feedback. I’ve been scrubbing the forum for insights and Nitto’s get consistent positive feedback (both the G2 Terra and the Ridge Grapplers). Still trying to decide between 295 vs 305, do you know if the 295 will fit without a suspension lift with no rubbing?
Getting 305/70R18s installed on my Overland this week. They're only like .4" taller overall compare to the 295s so I said to hell with it. Not installed it still only measures 34.8x12"-ish overall and I've seen some guys doing 35x12.5s with no rubbing for a daily driver. I plan on doing the Mopar 2" lift in the future anyways, but I'll let you know how it turns out. Maybe some rub at full stuff but we'll see.

Just picked it up a little while ago. 305/70R18 Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003's. They're about 34.5x12 mounted. At full crank in a turn, it feels like there is a slight rub.. But how often do you really do that anyways? Haven't taken it offroad yet so I can't speak to full stuff condition.

Additionally, you can see the speedo at 70MPH leaves RPMs about 23-2400. It does feel a little more sluggish given the 3.73 gears in the Overland, but I would hardly say its a big deal. Most people probably wouldn't care.

Tires look great, makes me feel fine about leaving the factory rims on my Overland as well. Thanks for sharing.

I got all of them done. I may go with wider wheels in the future, I rather get a bumper and winch first.
I got the kenda’s 35/12.5/R18 to 31-32 PSI and changed the tire size with JSCAN.
Overall it handles well. I do definitely feel the bigger tires on the gladiator coming from the falkens 285/70.
I like the more aggressive look with the overland wheels.

How is the road noise? How much are they sticking out from fenders? Can you post a pic to show that?

The only comparison that I personally have on other 35s, are the nito graplers m/t on my old tundra.
The kenda's are much quieter on the road than the nito, but a bit more noiser then the falken 285/70 A/T aw3.

They stick out about 1/2-3/4" without rubbing. My overland has rubicon take off, springs, shocks and a 1.5" teraflex leveling lift. At a level ground it measures ~ 42"(front and back) to the black plastic edge of the fender.
I am considering wheel spacers 1.75" for the "look" while I get new wider wheels.

With that amount of lift, how centered is the front axle? Do you feel any need for longer front lower control arms (steering/handling)? I'm considering do the exact same combo to lift mine, just trying to decide if I need to factor in a trac bar and control arms.

My overland has the Rubicon suspension(shocks/springs) and 1.5" teraflex leveling kit.
I spoke to Teraflex and they mention if I am just doing the 1.5" , no need to change anything else, but they definitively recommended their shocks. Many rubicon owners have the same setup as mine, but they have the wider axles and higher gears too.
It drives very straight - the steering wonder still there just a bit less since is on 35s.
I haven't done any real-off road, only light trails so I can't comment on the bars.
I think this setup is probably the max the overlander will handle ok without getting more big boy upgrades. Also, I know that I will take a hit on MPG, brakes and other components getting worn out quicker, but I am ok with that because I will enjoy this setup better then stock(nothing wrong with it).
Cheers!
