I looked, but couldn't find a thread on this, so forgive me if I missed it. It appears that this is fairly common, yet I haven't seen much here on it, so i figured it would be best to start a thread on it.
I live in an area that can have pretty drastic changes in elevation on a given trip/outing. I live at about 3500 ft, and "play" at anything from 7000 all the way to 13000.
Seems like almost without exception, when I change elevation by 4000 or more, I'll throw a P026D CEL. It seems like nothing more than a "nuisance" code, and nothing really seems affected by it. Still runs perfectly fine. If I leave it alone, it will eventually clear on it's own once I'm back at lower elevation.
One bigger nuisance is that while a code is triggered, remote start works, but it will shut down within a minute or so. This part sucked when there was a big snow storm outside, and have to walk out, leave the key fob in, just to get it to warm up. Another pain is that, unlike most codes, you have to be in RUN/OFF to clear it, then OFF, then start for it to clear.
Found one quick video on it, and one of the comments echos what I'm saying.
Anyone else have any information or experience with this?
