People are strange sometimes, do you think she parked close to you on purpose or just doesn't care and didn't like being called out on it?
I actually think she is just a poor driver and really did not care. I understand that she was probably concerned about her doctor's visit, however she still needs to drive / park in a responsible manner. If she is so preoccupied with other things on her mind that she can't drive / park reasonably, then she needs to get a family member or friend to drive her, IMHO anyway.

Spot on, Phil. This happens everywhere now. It is as if those painted lines are suggestions and made for somebody else. A while back, I parked next to a vehicle that was tires on the line, driver's side. I parked evenly between the lines. Went inside and ordered lunch. About halfway through the meal a waitress went around asking who owned the white truck in the lot. I owned up but the waitress gave me the that's ok, keep your seat high sign. About 20 minutes later, after paying my bill, I went out to see these two obese welfare queens yabbering on the phones in front of my truck. I politely said "excuse me" as I tried to pass both of the walruses on the sidewalk. As soon as they realized I owned the truck, the largest one shouted "why you park like dat?" The reply? "What, you mean centered in the spot? You're the one who needs to learn how to park" They were about to start physically hitting my truck until I lifted my shirt and revealed a concealed. Priceless reaction.

I am retired. I am done with putting up with stupid.

Exactly Joe! Some people just have no clue or know what personal responsibility is. They can never be wrong and it is always everyone else's fault. Some people never grow up.....

She actually came out of the medical clinic and I saw her walking towards the van as I was getting into my Jeep. I asked her politely why she would park so close to my Jeep when there were so many other empty spaces to the left of her van. She bluntly told me that she was a caner survivor and that she didn't hit my Jeep. I told her I was sorry that she had been ill and to please leave a bit more room between vehicles next time. She actually got nasty with me about telling her how to park so I told her to go to hell and left. (I know I should of not said that but up till then I was more than nice to her!)
I would not have been so nice

If you actually get upset enough to confront someone about their parking, I think you need to re-evaluate yourself. The fact is that most people just don't care about their vehicle the way you care about yours. They typically mean no harm, that is until you provoke them.

Maybe it's just that I'm older & wiser, but I don't feel the need to provoke anyone.

It used to be a ticket-able offense with tires on the line. Probably still is just not enforced and that is how things slide downhill.
I hope that's not the case. Especially considering that the gladiator is wider than the lines in places with older parking lots or just smaller spaces

Hmmmm, I am 67 and just re-evaluated myself and I am just fine!!! Sorry if you disagree, however if someone infringes on me, my family, or my property, I am just not going to ignore it. I believe if you ignore bad behavior and pretend it is ok, then it will just get worse. I could of been a jerk to her but I was very respectful to start off with, until she became offensive and nasty.

Given today's norms, just park centered across one line at an angle. No expensive side steps needed.

@Phil_R I personally like to leave little messages on windshields, usually very respectful things such as:
“You park like an a$$hole” or “fabulous parking job, retard” sometimes I get a little creative and end up with a “f*** you and the car that brought you here” or “you park like your fathers pull out game... g** awful”

That being said sometimes I can be petty and I enjoy every minute of it. What’s life without a little confrontation?
