Phone/GoPro/GPS Mount

I'm trying to figure out how I want to mount my phone, GPS and GoPro in my 26 Mojave. I use Ram Mounts on my motorcycles, so have quite a few arms, ball mounts etc. I like the idea of the Bulletpoint, Trackform etc, but I don't want anything blocking the screen or high up in the window. How do the top of dash mounts work? Is there a piece that comes off to access screw holes?
Let me know what's out there, because all of my "car" mounts don't work very well in the Jeep.

Hi there! I'd love to help you out.

I'm partial to our own product of course but I think there's some advantages to the following part.


If you pull off the rubber mat on the drivers side you will gain access to 4 screw holes where you can mount our track plate to.

The track will allow you to position the phone to the left of your display. It comes with an Arm rest that will let the arm sit nicely on the dash.. And put the phone in line of site.

It won't be too high where it will obstruct your view.. If you have any product specific questions please let me know.

Whichever way you go, I’d have to say the dash mount solutions that are out there are far superior to the suction cup to the window ones. I’ve used both over various vehicles and dash mounts are my preference. They can be moved down and out of the way, you don’t have to disassemble things if using a sun shade, they just make life a little easier.

Yeah I'm with you 100%. Especially in Jeep, they make it so easy.

I agree. The suction cup worked great in my Ranger, sucked in the Jeep.

I couldn't find a pic of a 24-26 with it installed but here on the 18-23 JT.

I didn't want to lose the dash tray and I don't like anything blocking the windshield so I went with a mount that attaches behind the passenger grab bar. A side benefit is that in hot weather you can blow the A/C vent directly on the phone to keep it from overheating. The quality of the mount I got wasn't that great so I reinforced it and altered it, but the basic bracket that sandwiches behind the grab bar is OK. I may buy a copy of the bicycle mount I use in my plane and attach it to the existing bracket.

Ive used many different mounts on motorcycles, dirt bikes, and two Jeeps and I like the Trackform Assault for my Mojave. I have one on both sides of the dash. They are very strong and you can buy the cooling MagSafe mount for those days when you let the sun in

I ended up choosing the Avil Overland bar. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the quality and customer service are excellent. Happy to answer any questions.
