Some trucks come with a wireless speaker behind the back seat that can be removed. Cool idea but unfortunately mine only has a sub behind the seat that's built in.
Oh... yeah that.... I thought you were talking about something different. Me understand now ?‍?

I have yet to have anyone complain when I am talking to them wirelessly. But I have had people inside the Jeep raise their voices talking to me while driving down the interstate because of wind and tire noise. I guess I have not talked on the phone with anyone above 60 mph

lol.
I had my truck almost 2 months with no complaints while on the phone until I took my first 6 hour road trip. Had 2 people complain that it sounded like the phone was hanging out the window. This was at 75 MPH with the windows up. As soon as I got on back roads and my speed dropped it was not an issue.

when you talk on the phone, via Bluetooth. Has anyone ever said it sounds like you’re hanging your phone out the window?
that’s the noise.
Mine is terrible. And it’s two days old…
If the other person has you on speaker phone, the sound is worse. You'll have more noise from a-pillar or floor.

Would it be easier to just remove the trim piece and add some foam on the back of the mic?

im doing that too. I did this because with defroster on that air blows right up into that cavity through the gap. For the few $it cost it was worth 10 mins of my day to try it.
I have small windsocks for mics already. Gonna start by cutting one and sticking it in the holes of the mic on trim.
honestly the biggest difference I’ve made was using voice isolation mode on my iPhone.
the foam filler did make a small difference.
