And that is why manual transmissions can suck off road. The poor guy stalled and rolled back on the restart. An auto would have rolled on through.

I’m looking for the vid, but I was out bombing around in Colorado, pitch I got to 28 up and down, roll I maxed at 19, too nervous to go more than that but it crawled right up the 28 degrees was impressive to me.

This thread inspired me to watch my pitch and roll gauges when I was out in the woods yesterday...Well, I got up to 2% pitch and 4% Roll, that is a lot for NJ and I wasn't even scared  ?....

But on a more serious note, I was disappointed that the gauges go "blank" above 25 mph - what's up with that. Not in NJ, but I can see applications for them above 25mph in other areas of the country.

Probably so people don't drive distracted.

I saw a 34 degree roll angle at the Palo Duro Canyon Jeep Jamboree back in April. Go to the 24 minute mark of this video.

At what pitch and roll angles do you start getting concerned? Say perhaps with a 2” Mopar lift kit and 35’s? Others are welcome to answer too! Do you use the information screen while off road?
Funny this should come up as I just got back and was thinking this very thing! I am mostly concerned with roll and I start getting my adrenaline levels up approaching anything above 15 degrees if the trail is off camber with a drop off on the downhill side. On level ground with just high bumps my tolerance levels go way up. I hit 20 degrees on the trail today and didn’t even think about it.

I once asked the question here to see if anyone knew what the max recommended degree of pitch/roll by the factory was but no one answered. Of course mine would be less than whatever that would be anyway as I have a roof top tent sitting above the roof line. So I am always mindful of that. Curious to see where this goes. . .

I’m going to rehydrate this thread hoping it’ll rekindle some conversation on the topic. I’ve since taken the RTT off my truck and it’s brought my comfort level up significantly. . .
