Just put them on today, and I’m very pleased
I was in the market for a skinny 35 and nothing seemed available. I was offered these Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 35X10 or 255/85R17 and I’m pleased with the ride quality, and road noise is now very acceptable. I was running Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35X11.5 but the road noise was more than I could take on my daily commute.

OK, so MT's website states the MT Baja Boss A/T 35x10x17's don't support over 8" wide rims. I'm running the Mopar slotted off-road 17x8.5. Anyone running the MT Baja Boss 35x10x17's on 8.5" rims?
Wondering the same thing. I have aev saltas, 8.5 inches wide. I contacted Mickey Thompson and they said 8.5 should be fine but don't go any wider. I'm worried they may look stretched and I don't want my truck to look like a Honda Civic

I don’t think that 1/4” to each side would make much of a difference, it’s a pretty trivial amount when you divide in half. They are pretty bulgy on the factory wheels. I don’t think you’d see much difference. I’ll go take a pic on the wheel, and PM you the image.

Damn, I didn't even consider splitting the difference... that was super helpful man I really appreciate it! And thanks for the photos! I'm gonna go ahead and order them.

17x8.5 wheels. I think they turned out fine. Hard to get good pics but they don't look streched.

I actually think your tires are sitting flatter than mine, and will probably wear better with the wider wheel.

Now that you’ve had them a while what kind of mileage do you think you’ll get out of them?

I called two Belle Tire stores and asked my chosen 4x4 Jeep specialty shop (who installed my AEV lift) and all three said that they “absolutely would mount 35x10x17 tires on 8.5” wide wheels.”
