I have a 2021 Sport with 14000 miles, now leaking. Trak-loc
I'm worried about being given a difficult time because I've installed a Clayton 2 1/2" lift and 35s?
Don't think you will have a issue as this is a well known problem.. Look on driver door frame and find the sticker that has the MDH(month, day, hour) number, and post it in thread linked in OP.

Over in this thread: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/leaking-axle-seal.42026/

One owner posted this " [jeep cares] also seemed unaware that this issue was happening to many people."

I simply don't believe them. So this poll is to get a percentage of affected units. Thanks.

Edit: I've tried to keep track of what was earliest\latest MDH# with leak.
Earliest in that thread with leak is 9-30-2020, latest is 9-21-2021.

I don’t have it back yet so I don't have the code right now, but I know it's a 6/21 build date. Even though all 3 service advisors claimed to be unaware of any inherent issues with Gladiators leaking, they had a right rear axle in stock(!) and it was replaced under warranty. I think I'll wait at least 6 months before replacing my diff covers now.

Very possible they aren't aware. It's possible they have had none come in, or only 1, so to them there's no "inherent issue".
Look at the numbers here - where the fact this is a forum on the internet tends to exaggerate true percentages - 3/4 of the respondents have said no, they have not had a leak issue. So if 3/4 of the people on a forum say no, you can bet that an even greater percentage of the whole JT population have not had an issue. Then add to that - it's only 1 of the 4 model years (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) so hardly 25% of 2021 owners say yes, that's a handful of the whole JT population out there.
Very possible that dealer is being honest.

Oh I apologize, I did not mean to infer that they were being dishonest. I should not have used the words "claim to be unaware" and just said "were unaware". I have known some of these guys 20 years. Another reason why they may have had the part in stock is that these guys carry a lot of stuff that they sell to other repair and body shops. I worked for another local Jeep dealer and this parts dept almost always had a part we needed but didn't stock. I used to stop there in the morning on my way to work. All good, either way.

I have a friend who purchased a 2021 JT well over a year ago. She has had it in for her free oil change 3 times. I see the truck for the first time and notice the RR axle seal has been leaking. I'm guessing the dealership is not providing the service that they should. They have rotated tires but no mention of the leak. Evidence of the leak is on two wheels, so it has been a leak a while. No idea if she has taken it in yet.

We got mine on the lift to change the gears two weeks ago and discovered the RR seal was leaking pretty significantly. The place doing the gears put a new seal on which fixed the issue (for now). I just had them fix it while it was on the lift.

Why are people getting new axles?? Were the axles damaged from losing oil or is there something wrong with them?

I have a 2021 JT Sport S with Max Tow:
- 12,500 miles
- Build date 02-2021
