I don't know what to think and I'm not going to Jump to a conclusion just yet. The dealer told you arriving late May but Jeep said end of June, I think it was. So we will see what happens. I will say that if the JT is is in the same price range as a new Ram 1500 loaded Laramie then I will pass for now. I don't want to pass on it, but if its that much them I'm going to go buy an 06 LJ Rubicon and a used Tacoma or Comanche and wait for the prices to come down or find a used one. I know that Jeep doesn't care and it's not that I couldn't go buy it but $68k+ for it I don't think it's worth that to me right now, maybe if everyone else thinks that way it will help. Now if the Hercules is a real thing and it came in at that price maybe a different story for me depending on what else you get.
Very well said, while I obviously really want a JT those prices would have me doing something else. Could I buy it at those prices? Sure but at that point I would rather drive something less cool and retire early/ travel more.

What great info coming from a sales person (dealership). This goes to prove the high priced markup stealerships, I mean dealerships, are going to try and set for these vehicles.

OP, don’t get sucked into paying higher than you should. Sounds like your dealer contact is already getting you nice and primed for that premium markup. FCA told them base to start at $40K....LoL.

Did the JL price leak before FCA officially announced the price?

Nothing is proven here. Nothing. He is just posting what he heard down a grape vine.

Does not prove that his dealer is trying to screw him. That will only come after he gives him a price. The dealer has given no price at this point.

I call bull feces on this. If such an email existed it could easily be redacted to protect the leaker. I’m in constant communication with the owner of a dealership and he says no info exists. Dealership employees are usually the very last people in the world to know anything about new cars.

With all of this talk that the JT is its own vehicle and FCA thinks its the next G-wagon and justified to charge $68,000 for the rubicon......

Why do they say, "The most off-road capable midsize truck ever"? They're comparing their truck to the rest of the midsize market. They can't say, "The most outrageously priced midsize truck ever".

Yes the dealer did give a price. That’s my point. Nothing is proven and it wasn’t through the grapevine but from an apparent dealer who apparently got their info directly from FCA. It proves that the dealer is setting a price on something that isn’t even confirmed. That’s not cool on a dealership.

I do think one thing is true, their research department that reads this forum are getting a kick out of us speculating the hell out of this pricing, lol.

So the OP should take the time to redact the info that he received so that he can post that info he heard from a email that he does not back but just wants to report ?

Why are you in constant contact with a owner of a dealership and not giving us redacted information to help us all?
