Premium audio real world experience

I have the premium. I love the sound, but I do notice a little "rattle" or "buzz" in the right rear speaker depending on what's playing. I turnde the bass down to 0 and it is mostly gone, but the deep bass is almost gone too.....

This system is a ripoff. It doesn't sound as good as my JK alpine system did. The thing defaults to the am/fm radio most times when I start it up (very annoying) Uconnect is useless. It reads text messages sometimes and sometimes they don't even show up. I really wish I would have got the most basic radio and could have just replaced everything.

I’d say the system in my wife’s 2015 grand Cherokee Overland is better than the premium alpine in here but the speaker location limitations and lack of additional insulation in the wrangler/gladiator are likely part of the issue...

Agreed. There were a few audiophiles over on the Wrangler side of the forums who were lamenting how hard it is to make one sound "right" due to those two exact things. I ordered the premium audio because after test driving both, it was at least much better than the standard one. I was surprised it wasn't louder though -it was tolerable to my ears at full blast, and the speaker sound began to suffer. I'm neither an audiophile nor someone who wants to rattle the window of the car next to me, so it was good enough for my purposes and not something I'll be in any hurry to upgrade.
